We rent our home from Frontline Property Management in Arlington, Texas. The foundation and landscaping at the back of the house is so bad that every time it rains our house gets flooded and we have to live with the horrid smell it leaves behind. Are there any actions we can take against our management company?

I sent a check to my sister, but forgot to put my signature on it. I told her to sign it with my name and cash it, but she refuses to saying it is forgery and constitutes a federal crime. I figure as long as the intent is not to defraud and she has my permission, it isn't. And, even if it is, who would press charges? It's a trifling amount of money and I gave her permission. Thanks for answers.

I work extensively within the realm of litigation as a legal assistant... but I have had little experience with "wrongful termination" suits. I do not intend on filing a suit unless I have any unexpected difficulty in my seach for new employment - btw...I was "fired" yesterday... no notice, just fired...no witnesses, no paperwork with reasoning...just a conference with an associate attorney...in private. Here's the deal... I went to see an infectious disease Dr. one week ago. I have had minor skin abcesses for about a year which began after a very bad case of MRSA. I, along with my treating physician...assumed that this was the staph bacteria causing it. I was treated with high dosages of antibiotics for several months which only temporarily relieved symptoms. bottom line specialist said it NO staph, sent me to a derm. who confirmed NO INFECTION at all. it's freakin acne. that was this a.m. I was fired yesterday b/c a coworker claims she now has mrsa b/c of me. she's at wk 2day

The managers of the restaurant I work at are asking one of my fellow employees to pay back $100 that went missing from the register on Saturday. There were 4 different people using the cash drawer over the course of the day, so there is no way to say who was running the register when it was missing, or what happened.

I know that laws are very different in each state. I live in Michigan. Can any of you direct me to a site that explains the laws involved here? Is it illegal to ask her to pay the difference out of her own pocket? I think this is very unfair.

(NJ Case)If I am a non custodial parent - paying child support on regular basis. We both agreed that I can have my daughter for the summer and I do not have to pay child support for those 2 months. However - my question is on the summer camp tuition - Are we both required to pay half - or is it up to me to pay the whole thing?

I read on some websites that the victims families are suing Virginia Tech. Is this right or just... From my perception, Virginia Tech feels the same way they do... so it seems like they are just tryin to make money off thier misfortunes.

What do you all think?

I am in varsity band at my high school. My instrument has been missing for the past two days and I can't find it ANYWHERE. This has happened once before and thanks to a stroke of luck I had I found my instrument. Since it has been missing for the past two days, and a friend suggested it, I was wondering....

a) can I sue the school or school district because it went missing while I was storing it in a band locker under school care, and

b) if so, what course of action should I take?

My friends and I were eating in a diner near our job and Channel 2 CBS news came in out of no where. While we were just finishing up eating and getting ready to pack up the other half of our lunches our waiter walked over and said "Fix your hair girls your on TV" So we kind of panic... We get our bill, pack up our food and as we are on our way out we learn they were filming the 3 of us for a news clip on Obesity In Nassau County.

Now we never consented to our faces to be on television PLUS the 3 of us are as follows,

one is 5'5 - 110 lbs
and 2 of us are 5'1 - 120 lbs

Now how were we the models of Obesity and eating too much when we each only ate 1/2 our plate and packed the rest AND we are all tiny????

They aired it on May 3rd on the 6pn news and they zoomed in on us for a moment.

Also I used to be an anerexic and have fought back to normal. This is honestly taking a toll on my body immage.

What can I do?

In Gujrat, IPS Officers have been arrested for a reported 'fake encounter' and killing of a person (and his wife) although the POLICE have demdnded that the dead person was a terrorist. Investigation is going on and the matter is pending with the Appx Court. In West Bengal, ORIGINAL encounter had killed more than a dozen people (poor farmers) in Nandigram more than two months back. Till date, not a single person has been arrested ! How the lawyers would explain this ?

So, the 17 year old Iraqi Yazidi girl runs off and marries a Sunni and converts, so her relatives drag her back, throw her to the ground, naked, and gleefully throw huge rocks at her and laugh and converse, and kick her in the guts, until she dies, after pleading, begging, moaning in pain for a long time. Gruesome.
So, her new Sunni relatives go to the police, and nothing is done, in fact in cell phone videos police can be seen standing blithely by while this "honor killing" goes forward. No charges are filed. No investigation is done. The Sunnis find a bus full of Yazidis and pull them off and execute 21 of them. Now, the story seems more complete...The moral of the story is that wrong is wrong. Perhaps in the context of that Yazidi tribe, those men could've gotten away with murder, afterall it was "just" a woman, but wrong is wrong, when the context becomes larger, there is no excuse.
