There is no easy or cheap way out of being stupid. In this case repeated acts of stupidity.
I wouldn't worry about it, I would find yourself a new man.

All personal issues aside, here's some legal advice.
He needs to find a legal clinic where he can receive free legal aid. Many law schools have these, so he just needs to call around.
The next option he could try is a structured settlement, provided that the defendants will allow him to pay only $60/month. On 1300, plus interest, a lawyer would likely request at least 100/month.
Tell the guy to stop driving... completely, entirely and unequivocally. Some people just aren't made for driving and they need to wrestle with that reality at some point. Given the situation he is in financially, it sounds like he could stand to save the money he would otherwise spend on gas anyway.
I'm not sure how much the bond would be, sorry.

Sweetheart...buy your fiancee a bus pass, please!
The bond will be set by the judge, based on his prior record and the likelihood that he will return to court when ordered. Usually, you can get a bail bond agency to provide the bond if you pay the bail bond agency 10% of the amount of the bond. If you dont' show up for the court date, though, the bail bond agency will literally hunt you down and turn you over to the court, where you'll be arrested and unable to get out of jail until your case is disposed of.
If the people he hit have a lawyer, he's got to negotiate with that lawyer. I would advise you to retain your own attorney for this because you're gonna get smoked if you don't.
If your fiancee has been sued and they've already got a judgment against your fiancee there isn't much you can do. They can garnish his wages, attach to any bank accounts he may have, or seize any other assets to satisfy the debt. He should IMMEDIATELY contact the other attorney and try to make payment arrangements. If you make arrangements, makes SURE that you honor those arrangements, because if you don't, they can immediately clean out your bank accounts and garnish your wages....and this will happen without notice to you.
Good luck. I'm sorry you learned the hard way about the importance of having insurance.

Why would you be hooking up with such a looser? You think it's OK he drives around without insurance and hits people and is in such debt? This is the kind of guy you want to spend your life with?????? Have you ever wondered what other kind of trouble he is going to drag you through? If he can't keep up on the things he needs to be responsible for now, how is it going to be for you after you have a kid and two and he isn't responsible for them either? See where I'm headed??? He's already spent 4 yrs doing this crap, isn't looking like he'll change any time soon! Good Luck Honey, hope you come to your senses!

Well I don't live in the US so not sure about all the costs you are asking about. On the other hand I would say that if your fiance is this responsible with his driving, etc. would this not be a sign that getting married to him could be disaster for you down the road (no pun intended)? He doesn't sound like much of a catch to me.

If he is in jail now, he is going to see the judge before he could get out if no one or not allow to be bailed out. You should try to call to the police station to ask what you could do about it.
Fine is different in each state, it usually around $150. After he is out, get him a bus pass!!!
Hey, tell me about it! My ex just got picked up by the police in his office last Friday for he missed the court day back in 2 yrs ago. Driving without a valid driver license

Boy oh boy bet your so proud of the winner you got there.
How about leave his *** in jail where he belongs. If your hell bent on being with this loser then both of you get second jobs and pay off the people he hit.
Thank God Texas is a long way from the east coast!

Sounds like you need to find a man who can afford to put a roof over your head and food on the table that doesn't have a habit of doing dumb things to get him in trouble with the law. I wish you luck. Please, do yourself a favor and dump this guy before you go down in a heap with him.
