I mean it looks like huge growth in illietrate peoples population is causing so many problems in India. Our trains, buses, roads are crowded. There are slums and filth everywhere in cities.

Iam talking about India not any other country.
And Iam not asking about forcing people to have less kids, rather as leaders we expect the politicians to guide and help people understand the ill effects of too much population.

The politicians believe that more the merrier. More the population, more the following, more the fools, more the votes.

I will take your word for the conditions in India. But I think overpopulation is the root cause of most of mankind's problems. It causes us to compete for already scarce resources - food, fuel, water, space... If we reduced the world's population by just 1/2 or 1% each year, we'd make a dramatic change over the course of 20 to 30 years.

The same reason Al Gore tells us to save energy as he takes off in a private jet to someplace unknown. The same reason Michael Moore complains about starving American children and throws another big mac down his neck. The same reason Hillary Clinton says she's afraid of what she might find under the rug in the White House when she gets back in but I'm sure they had to shampoo the same rug when her husband left .The same reason Barbara Streisand wants complete open borders with Mexico but wouldn't have a Mexican in her neighborhood unless they were clipping her hedges. Oh shoot, I got carried away again. Now what was the question ??

Do your politicians actually care about the future of India?
Perhaps not.
Most politicians are corrupt, and will be bribed with money and power. So chances are there will never be a politician that will do this.
Money and power corrupt.
I'm sorry for your country, I have been to India and found it very beautiful - but I do know what you are saying.

Reduced human live stock may come as an aid to solve so many problems automatically in the country which may make the politicians jobless - that's why.

When we point a finger at others, other fingers point at you. Can a politician like Laloo Yadhav ask people to have less children? Further they want a particular community to have more children so as to keep them in poverty and enable them to get elected promising help to improve their lot.

Same here in my place. Maybe politicians can't give our people jobs so they would have something else to do aside from making kids. That's the real solution... jobs to keep people busy.

I'm guessing that you mean politicians in the US, right?
Well its simple..we live in a democracy and if they even mutter a word about population control...folks would come out of the woodworks to remind them that we're supposed to be free.

How can they ask such an idiotic question. Will laloo ask this or any Muslim politician ask?. No one in india dare to ask. the last person who dared to ask and take action was Sanjay Gandhi - you know his fate....
