What Constitutional arguments have been made against, and in support of, the expansion of executive powers?

They do need to equal out the powers of government. Nowadays the Judicial branch of the government has to much power over congress and the president.

There can be no Constitutional argument for any increase in power since the Constitution has already been abused in this regard. Less power, not more power.

Executive powers cannot be increased unless there is a change in the Constitution.

LOL. So executives want more power now in shaping whatever company they are headed with.......

Start with making the bottom people feel like they are needed. Look out for them and your company will do just fine, otherwise, you could outsource it to Korea and lose hundreds of jobs in the US, they can't afford to keep their homes, hence, they can't afford your product anymore, hence you go bankrupt, also.

Learn some economy, college grad......

bush has already gotten pretty much what he want without having to be a dictator for life..what could happen is another 911 and he could call Marshall law until the crises is over.

America should change and give more power to people ....
for example to remove politicians.... to change laws and policies ..... to defend them selves....
