The other day I was at Walmart, and I was pushing a cart into Walmart. I was going from the cross walk to go in the doors, when all of the sudden my cart came to a dead stop, and my son who was on the back of the cart flew off, my daughter was inside the cart and jerked back. All because the the sidewalk was cracked and raised. I went to a manager and they wouldn't even take a report. Could they be held responsible?

Many establishments such as bars and resturaunts have banned them long ago. Now, lawmakers are trying to ban them in casinos and even entire cities and in your own car.

If someone were to attack me and i have a gun and i shoot this person, what would be the consequinces? This person clearly attacked me first and I am acting in self defense. What happens if i just shoot him, what happens if he dies?

Why do we obey the laws of society, when their are people who don't choose to follow them? How is it that the laws of our people in America, are dictated by the civilians, and yet no one is happy with them? Why can't we all just go and have the 3 laws: Don't Steal, Don't Kill, Don't Rape/Molest?

I was 10 days late this month on rent and the next thing I know, I get a call from my parents at 7:45am ON A WEEKEND from my mom. She and my step dad were FREAKING OUT because she said that my landlord told them that I was FIVE MONTHS BEHIND ON RENT!!! I have receipts to PROVE this isn't REMOTELY true and as soon as my mom got on the phone with the owner of the building, he confirmed that the landlord LIED!

Since my name is the only one on the lease and my parents are just emergency contacts, can I sue my landlord for something like invasion of privacy or harrassment? Can I sue at all? I'm just livid!

I had finished a project in Rome, Italy for a client. The Rome airport was extremly busy and I was flying Delta. My collegaue and I got in the delta line to check in. The line was very long and we were the last two people in line. I notice at the front of the line a ticket agent was speaking to the agent behind the desk. The agent had 7 young white males with her, I imagine there was a confusion about their tickets. Once they fixed the problem, the agent escorted the young men to the end of the line. the agent told me and my colleague that these customers had to go before us. Again we were the last two in line. I told the agent no. The agent became upset and told me that I was not a nice person.I was just tried and felt that she was nuts. Why would she put these young men in front of the last to people in line. A woman next to us who happen to be white told her that we were being treated badly and she was going to report her to corporate. What do you think

In my last letter, I told your something about the division of labour. Right at the beginning, when men used to live by hunting only, there was very little division of work. Everybody hunted and they could, with difficulty, get enough to eat. Rappers are story tellers. Some of the stories they tell are real and some are not. Movies do the same thing and sometimes foul language is necessary to get a point across in a movie. If you made a movie about racism, you expect for the n word and others words to be used. If you made a movie about drug dealers, you would use foul language to preserve the authencity of the picture. Why are rappers getting attacked for verbally telling stories?
I think censorship should lie more with the parents. Capitalism is well and alive. When the Dixie Chicks said they were dissapointed that George Bush was from Texas, a lot of people boycotted their music. What are your thoughts?

How do I ask for a continuance? Do I need to go to court and get an order to show cause?

I am asking for more spousal support because my ex has had a significant change in circumstances....would it be really stupid to represent myself? There is already an order that my lawyer did, it just needs to be modified.

i can't find info on the net about how much time you can get if you are convicted of burglary. Meaning i broke into someone's home when they weren't there and was caught by police on the scene with a bag of their jewelry and other small things.
I just want to know how much time you get for that?
and also i already asked this but if someone please knows a more detailed answer...if i was 17 at the time that this happened (Sunday), and my bday is right before my court appearance will i be tried as juvenile or adult?

My dad claimed me on his income tax when my mother also did. I live with my mom. He argued in his defense that this is standard after a divorce to alternate years claiming the kid. True or not, legal isn't it only my mom who had the right to claim me as she had custody?

im taking a law class and were working on a case where a woman has been physically abused and she has "battered wife syndrome." she got pushed to an extent where she shot him in the back of the head and called it self defense. she used a 303 rifle.

What group would you say was most likely to face lengthy prison (or even legal execution) when he was totally innocent (that is, he hadn't done anything to hurt anyone at all)?
The two groups are:
(1) White men from 1960 to present date, who were done wrong because of false witness by ex-wives...or children who had been coached to lie in court?
(2) Black men in the Old South falsely accused of sexual crimes (or other crimes) in the years 1959 and earlier?
