I have been working on various ideas (some programming, some engineering) that I believe could have a positive impact on society. I would like to declare them into the 'public domain', so that no one person owns the idea; i.e., I don't want someone to get a paetent or copyright to prevent others from using the idea. How could I release information with these objectives?

My father (a low income/self employed) had an emergency surgery at a non-profit Hospital in S. Florida (not a Hill-Burton). Although he is over 65 and has Medicare part B, but not part A (did not worked enough quarters) nor any other insurance. Recently the outrageous bill arrived: almost $53K (I suspect is about 400% overcharged). After an initial contact with the hospital's counselor, we are awaiting for a response to whether he is accepted by the Medicaid program (I don't think he is eligible, since his assets is over $6,000) or apply him to the hospital's program, which leaves us still afraid of the bill, as the hospital may discount only portion of it and leaving an evident overcharged balance to be paid. What are the options if he still end up with a huge bill other than payment plan? challenge the charges? consider bankruptcy? or joining a class action law suit? (yes, there is one). He owns a modest home and is living off his small savings. Sleepless in FL, thank you

I had my coat sleeve filled with greese, my car was egged, i have had to put up with "the looks to kill" every time one girl would go out of her way to see me, she verbally bashed me thursday, swearing and screaming, they have put things in my finished product to get me into trouble, swiched labels on my products, refuse to let me give them breaks, which is what i am suppose to do and the most recent....this girl walks up to me and said. "dont fu.k with me, i'll rip your fu.king head off. i dont play games i WILL rip your fu.king head off and you dont believe me, ask dan (my boss), he will tell you the same thing, that i will rip your fu.king head off....
so i asked my boss and he said nothing.
this will be the second day that i have missed work. what do i do?? i am so upset, if i didnt need that job i would not be there, but who else will pay my bills. i told the manager and the owners son, he hired me, what was going on a while ago, and still nothing, its just getting worse.

My soon to be ex depostied my paychecks into an acct that we used to pay our bills and each of us had access to by the way of a debit card. The acct was in his name only. I was STUPID, I know but I trusted him. I just found out a check I wrote bounced when I know that there were funds to cover it. When I called my ex, he said he closed the acct not too long after we split up. W/O his permission, I can't get his financial records so does anyone know what I need to do to prove that my checks were deposited into this acct.? Or is my only option to call an attorney to get his financial records? I know I could say that too bad, the check has his signature so he wrote it but that would screw the person who I wrote the check to. I just want to know how to prove that part of the $ was mine.

I heard they just make people unconscious, or make their legs feel really painful if shot there. Would it be a good idea to replace all civilian bullets with rubber bullets? The U.S. constitution gives it's citizens the right to bear arms for protection and defense, right? So if everyone had rubber bullets, they could defend themselves from assailants/robbers/etc by knocking them unconscious instead of killing them.
Hunting weapons w/ regular bullets could be kept on the hunting range or something.
This is only for civilian arms, not military.
Is this a good idea? or do I have facts messed up? or is it really stupid and hardly thought out?

True or False? In the "Northern Pipeline" case, the United States Supreme Court held that the broad congressional grant of jurisdiction given to untenured bankruptcy judges by the Bankruptcy Reform Act of 1978 was unconstitutional.

================
I say the answer is true because they had to choose between 'Article I" Judges or "Article II" judges.

I put in a credit app online. The dealership called me, I went to them to look at the cars.. They worked out how much my downpayment would be and how much my trade in value was. I'm a first time buyer, so I was required to have full coverage insurance. I told them it'd take a few days for me to get the insurance b/c I had to get the money. I came in a few days to sign all the paperwork for the car and give them the downpayment. I went back 3 days later (Friday) to provide my proof of ins (after paying $500 for it), signed the title over from my trade in to them and got the car. I receive a call from the dealership on the following monday adv i was not approved and had to bring the car back or get a co signor.

This does not seem legal to me? Anyone have any advise?
