My granson Oliver has been told by brighton council that the warmest place to sleep when homeless as he is ,is under the pier, yet only weeks aga a lady councilor stated in the Evening Argus [ our local paper ] that we should welcome all ethnics , as brighton council has no shortage of houseing for the needy ,
Would this councilor sleep under the pier and give her nice cosey home up to an ethnic ,as she obviousely expects our kids to do , by providing our social houseing stocks to peoplewho have no right to be housed in preference to our own people ,

Another pathetic attempt to spread lies and propaganda about non-white Britons, from a BNP supporter. (Check this person's other answers).

Well done everyone, for seeing through this charlatan.

To the best of my knowledge Brighton pier burned down not long ago, and that aside, one supposes that most of the pier, for most of the time, would have been under water.

When one reads the rest of your tirade, it is obvious that this has nothing whatever to do with a grandson, but rather another racist letting off about some poor unfortunate.

Perhaps your grandson does not qualify for housing for some reason. There are often lots of obscure rules which you have to fulfil in order to get such housing. However, if he DOES qualify and ethnic minorities are being chosen before him then perhaps you could inform the council that the local press would be very interested to hear about your story as that is simply not right. Equality should mean equality, not preferential treatment for ethnic minorities.

But why can't he simply stay with you? If you are concerned for his welfare why are you letting him be treated like this?

I completely agree with Mark j. Why can't he stay with you? You are more concerned with the fact that Ethnic people get housing than the fact that your grandson is homeless.

Also are you saying that "our own people" are more important than "Ethnic"? I'm confused as far as that goes. Homeless is homeless whether the person be black, white, Hispanic, etc.

Well I've just looked at the Argus website and can't find the item you refer to. could you provide a link please?

Also, why is your grandson homeless while you can afford a computer and internet access? I think my priorities would be somewhat different if I had a child or grandchild in the position yours is in.

I am not trying to take sides, and it's obvious we do not live in the same country. I'm just a little confused as to the question. How can your Grandson be homeless, when he clearly has a Grandmother?.

I don't know what the question is exactly, but I don't know why your grandson is sleeping under the pier; you should be offering him a stay at your house instead. What is wrong with this picture????

Why don't you offer a place in your house for your grandson until he can get on his feet? If he's homeless, then I'm sure even the couch sounds really good right about now.
