his lawyer said he may be able to bail out of utah if texas does not get there act together and get the proper paper work done but the jail said no way who's telling the truth and if he can not bail out i was told there is a maximum amount of days that utah will hold some one for extradition is that true and how long is it usually?

Federal law states that outside agencies have two weeks from the time a person is booked into jail to come pick them up for charges against them.

A person can be held in custody for an investigation and when a case is already filed against him unless bail is filed if applicable. For extradition, the state of Utah can held on to the prisoner while awaiting for transfer to Texas.
