Rappers are story tellers. Some of the stories they tell are real and some are not. Movies do the same thing and sometimes foul language is necessary to get a point across in a movie. If you made a movie about racism, you expect for the n word and others words to be used. If you made a movie about drug dealers, you would use foul language to preserve the authencity of the picture. Why are rappers getting attacked for verbally telling stories?
I think censorship should lie more with the parents. Capitalism is well and alive. When the Dixie Chicks said they were dissapointed that George Bush was from Texas, a lot of people boycotted their music. What are your thoughts?

I think that the attack on hip hop only came along when Imus got in so much trouble. By this time next year things will go back to normal.

The reason why Hip Hop is under attack more than movies and t.v shows for their language is due to the fact kids listen more to music than watching t.v. and movies. Also because Hip Hop is mainly dominated by people of color and they use words that their parent and grandparents and so on fought to have stopped from being used due to the meanings behind the words.

No one cares about blacks and hip hop until an election year and they they become the focus point of every candidates campaign. Election year 2008
