i bought a property and some lawyer took out a mortgage on my name because i had good credit. he said he wants me to buy it and his friend will renovate it and sell it for more price and i will make a few thousand dollars. you think this is a scam? am i getting myself in trouble taking this mortgage on my name?

Fraud, probably. Scam, definitely. Let me guess, your name is on the LOAN, but NOT the title? If I'm right, your in deep **** even if everyone intends to keep their promises.

Why are you needed? If it is going to be such a great deal, why involve another person? Have you known these people personally or professionally for a while?

Sounds like a scam to me.

Why do they need you? If it's such a good deal why the hell would they want to split the take with you? If it's that good of an idea, why do you need them?

And i've just starting thinking of questions...
