I ask the above because I was brought up in a strict but loving home.

I regularly got a back hander for stepping out of line. And to this day I am grateful for the discipline I recieved.

Now the 'powers that be' state that you should not hit a child because (not 100% sure how it is worded) it gives the ok for physical violence?????????

Today the children are unruly and have no respect for other people or anyone elses property.

Does anyone think that if a 'smack' was allowed some of these
issues would not surface through fear of being punished.

(Excuse me but I am 39 yrs old and I am old school)

Thanking you

can you be charged more than once for assault occ actual bodily harm?
i am researching for a case, where the victim was swept away by the current and, although he was pulled from the river, his breathing had stopped. His breathing was restarted by mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, and the end result was that he suffered permanent brain damage.
So would this amount to 2 charges of assault occ actual bodily harm; one for the breathing having stopped, and one for the brain damage.
or would it just be one overall charge of assault occ abh???

These people have gone and changed the birth certificates of 5 girls to say that they are the natural mother and father. We have the orginal birth records from the hospital. Now thanks to these people these five girls will never know their real parents.

I think the Human Rights law is wrong made.As I live in Britain, I , like many others, have noticed countless of cases were human rights laws were wrong applied. I heard that there is nothing wrong with them , that is just a matter of interpretation. well, these laws were made by humans, and humans may be wrong. everybody in britain knows now about fu....g convicts who get huge amounts of money and lots of things that other poor people, cant afford to have.and why? because they have they human rights breached.
I dont think human rights laws should be scrapped, someone should take a new look over them and see what's wrong.

(If a family cannot afford to have a child, then should they have one? Should poor people be forced to give up their children for addoption or have abortion, should their be a limit to one child. Many poor families in the UK have multiple children but can barely look after themselves, is it right that they should burden the average tax payer. Should we take the approach china has and limit child birth?

Your children turn of age or get married and suddenly you can't do anything right. Of course I think it even start before that even in their teens. Not a thank you for all those night you stayed up with them. All of the vacation you never took or things you never had because of the kids. And now they resent any money you spend on yourself. I wonder if Brad and Angelina have any idea of what they are letting themselves in for. They will be resented because of all of the time that they weren't there. Of course, the children will be embarassed about their values. I guess parents just have to develop a thick skin.

My future mother in law is VERY ill... and my fiance is now looking for a nursing home that is able to provide the care she so desperately needs.. However, we're not made of money... Her monthly checks are only about 500 a month, not nearly enough to cover a nursing home's care. What help is out there to us? I have no idea where to look for government aid, or anything that might help cover her care needs... We are in Arkansas (Marion, if that helps)... Please help us find a way to care for his mother without losing our minds or going into bankrupcy...

I know rich people buy islands all the time. You can get online and shop for them all day long, but they are still nonetheless under some governments jurisdiction. I own the property that my house is own, it still belongs to the U.S. government. Could someone buy land outright? In the same fashion that the U.S. bought alaska from Russia and how would one go about this? Not like I could muster the resources to pull off such a feat, just wondering if there's any precedent.

Even though The Kimberly Diamond Act of 2003 has suposedly cut out the use and sale of conflict diamonds, it is still possible to get diamonds that blood diamonds. The fact is that the Kimberly Diamond Act of 2003 is not perfect, the reality is that the diamond industry is consciously acting from within to protect the integrity of the diamond market by attempting to police the traffic of diamond rough mined from legitimate sources. The unfortunate reality of the Kimberly Diamond Act is that the laws created on behalf of its concept are a lot like drug laws to the degree of their effectiveness, those people who tend to be law abiding citizens and who would already conduct their business lawfully, morally and ethically were doing so before the inception of the law and those who are prone to participating in illegal activities will continue to do so regardless of what laws and procedures may be in effect.

If I can find I job and work everyday without calling in sick, and do my best at the task at hand, pay taxes that I cannot collect, cannot afford to be sick or go to the hospital and yes send my hard earned monies back home to support a family. Where do you find it to be of bad taste to be here undocumented. Illegal is a word reserved for those that CHOSE not to work and live off society like most AMERICANS.
