I just read this...

"Police are only required to warn an individual whom they intend to subject to custodial interrogation at the police station or when detained. Arrests can occur without questioning and without the Miranda warning — although if the police do change their mind and decide to interrogate the suspect, the warning must be given then."

I'm confused... What exactly is "custodial interrogation"?

I mean, lets say your getting arrested for a suspected DUI or DWI because you refused to take the breathalyzer. Does that mean the police officer has to tell you your Miranda Rights before asking you questions like how much you've had to drink, where you've been, etc...?

Or is the "Miranda Rights" only read when you are being arrested as a suspect for murder, robbery, etc and will be questioned about it.

Thanks...
T.

I have a split parcel of land that has had an implied easement for over 20 years. The property was purchased by a new person who has restricted access to the back parcel. There is no other means of egress to the back parcel and I now have to file an easment with the state. Does anyone know what the steps for this would be?

ACLU is so anxious to protect NAMBLA and illegal immigrants. Where are the civil rights of children to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? Whay can their civil rights be disgarded in favor of perverted criminals?

Why are the rights of American citizens subverted on behalf of illegal immigrants who are subject to their illegal activities, costing us billions in taxes and services? Why are our border patrol being prosecuted for doing their job?

Something is very wrong and destructive in this picture.

The ACLU should be totally abandoned or renamed ot CLU, Criminals Civil Liberties Union. They are for criminals, outsiders and Americans who want the freedom we've had for 200 plus years to practice Christianity in a Country founded on Judeo-Christian principles.

My Dad just had a heart attack and a quadruple by-pass surgery a week ago. He's been discharged from the Hosp. and is now at his home which was in the process of being remodeled, so is in no shape for a man recovering from open heart surgery. He refuses to go to my sister's to let her help him out and he's refusing to stay with my Grandmother as well. He's also trying to sneak his way out of going to his follow-up Doctor visits and just overall being stubborn and foolish about his health. Is there any legal way I can take control of this to make him take care of himself?

If I sell soda, candy or ice cream to people at the park. Do you need a any type of licence or food permit? Would I get in trouble for selling these items at the park? Would I be breaking any laws or tax laws? Here in Phoenix, Arizona they don't charge you taxes on food items.

Do you think things would be better in this country or worse?

In some jurisdictions, as late as 2002, there were laws on the books that discriminated against homosexuals by making sodomy illegal. There are still laws on the books in some jurisdictions that make some sex toys illegal in some jurisdictions. These laws are based on the notion that masturbation is wrong. These are clearly based on Christian values. Not all Christians are this strict, but the ones in the more conservative parts pass laws like this that enforce their religious values on others.

We bought a car, and wrote a $500 check as a down payment. 10 days later, the dealer called us, saying the miles were too high on that car to finance. We live 3 hours from the dealer. We told them that we couldn't drive that far to come back to look at another vehicle. They told us that we needed to bring the vehicle back within 24 hours, if we wanted our down payment back. We both missed work the next day to return it. When we got there, they said that the person we were working with had been sent home for the day, and gave us the choice of having a voluntary repo on our credit, or giving up our deposit as a restock fee. They then offered us in house financing. We had already bought another vehicle the night before in our city because they had said this one wasn't going to work. When we tried to argue what they had said the day before. They said it was hear say. Later I saw they had cashed our check the day before. We are in Oregon. I'm just looking for some guidance....

My sister has accussed my partner of vandalising a car on her property & tail gating her son on a public road. She has put these accussations in a letter which she has sent to my mother. She has also said in the letter that everything has been reported to the police. All of this is a lie & we suspect that she or members of her family actually caused the damage in an attempt to set us up. I have contacted the police & she has made no such complaint. These accussations have been going on for 12 months with the final action being the letter to my mother. Although we haven't any direct financial loss these false accussations have taken a considerable toll on my partners & my health. I am suffering from depression & I have been to see a pyschologist to help deal with it which has cost me money. I have also lost money because I have been trying to set up a new business & the whole thing has made me so upset & depressed that I have literally lost days in setting up my business.
