Don't get me wrong. I am in no way, shape or form defending sex offenders but why are they the only ones that get to be humiliated and harassed even after they have paid for their crime?

Great Point! Maybe there should be.

Can we post the drunk driver registry on a big billboard on the highway?

And maybe have the bank robber list at the bank?

As someone else mentioned, it's not about humiliation, it's about prevention.

Which would you rather have: some harassment of a known criminal (even one who has paid his debt to society), or a higher likelyhood of another child being molested?

Not that it wouldn't be a good idea to have an armed robber registry and a drunk driver registry too.

Make convicted drunk drivers display a sign to that effect whenever they are driving so others can keep their distance.

Well, as a point of order... they haven't paid for their crime.. believe me that time will come to them when they leave this earth... in the interim the rest of us want to make sure they don't re-offend. That's why there is a list and I am hopeful that it is getting shorter.

As for bank robbers and drunk drivers... I could care substantially less.

I don't think someone that's molested a child ever can pay for their crime, even if they were executed, is that sufficient payment for ruining someone's life, and countless other lives affected by it? I wouldn't feel threatened or worry too much about a bank robber or a drunk driver living near me, I would worry about a sex offender around my child, research shows that can't be rehabilitated usually.

I got stopped at a roadblock, blew a 10 and got a DUI. Nobody was harmed except my wallet.

Do you want my picture on the internet like a queer who blew a kid?

Why don't you KMA Gangsta Gizmo?

It's not about humiliating and harassing them, it's about knowing who they are and keeping our kids as far away from them as possible...
