Both involve taking the life of a person , both are felonies that carry prison time. Yet one can get their driving priveliges back and the second can't. Neither planned on killing anyone. It just happened.
I know alot will say that the drunk made a choice to drink and drive and the other was just an accident caused by misjudgement. But studies show one drink impairs your judgement. So if he/she had several drinks who's to says they was able to make that choice since their judgement was impaired. That would actually mean then both are mistakes in judgement so whats the difference ?

And use them to fund some gov't pet project.

From her Question on the main page - "Hillary Clinton is planning to use excess oil company profits to invest in alternative energy."

With any good business that is to be profitable and successful, any increase in opperational costs is passed on to the consumer as an increase in price. It's a "Business", not a "Charity". If they add more taxes to the oil industry, it will simply trickle back down to the consumers and the American taxpayer will be funding the "Alternative Energy Investments".

"We will make it absolutely clear" that oil companies who simply boost gas-pump prices to offset the tax will be prosecuted, State Administration Secretary Mike Morgan told legislators who opened their review of Doyle's 2007-'09 budget."

Will all this legislation forces them to stop selling to us?

If it were me I would simply take my business elsewhere... it's a bad policy and as unconstitutional as eminent domain.

Just curious. Does anyone with solid update knowledge of the law in the Philippines know * if web cams in the Philippines are legal or not. * What if some of those sites employ underage 'models' ? Obviously the site owners/admin are breaking the law but does that make the LEGAL age models also criminally liable with the administrators of the sites too BECAUSE they KNEW that some of their co-workers are underage and didn't report it ? --
Secondly if your answer is YES liable too then what would be the likely length of the sentence of the court inposed on those girls should the site be hummm busted and ALL arrested ? I am only asking because I entered into a debate on the net with a couple of friends Thanks

Is anyone else in the same sort of position?
I live on a mountain in Wales, and it's a mile along a track to get to the top road.
A car can't make it down to the house. Neither would an ambulance or a fire engine, so we really need a 4x4. I have to get my daughter to school 7 miles away, and the nearest bus stop is 3 miles away.

Do you think I should invite Mr Gordon Brown for a cup of tea? He can say goodbye to his exhaust and sump!
It makes me so angry. Shouldn't these taxes be means tested? I agree with cutting down on 4x4's in town's, when they are unnecessary.

My former employer does not want to pay me the Employment Tribunal Award. I am afraid that they might start to dissolve voluntarily. Also, the owner has about 15 more limited companies in addition to that one I worked for. The claim to the ET was made against the company not the owner. So, if they dissolve it can I still get my money out of them? The law is on my site but they are doing everything not to pay the compensation. The brand and the name of the company matters to them a lot, so obviously after dissolving it they must continue its business as they make good profit out of their business. Is it possible the owner just dissolves it then buys it from another company's of his? Or, is it possible that his relative buys the company and then they will continue working under the original brand?

So, what can I do in order to receive the compensation if they start dissolving their company? What can be done? Thanking you

The forefathers of this great nation designed a system of checks and balances. We recognize those as 3 co-equal branches: legislative, executive, and judicial. The courts blocked evidence against Rep. Jefferson (D) because it was supposedly a violation of that separation since the FBI and Department of Justice fall under the executive branch. How then can the legislative branch regularly attack the executive branch with subpoenas?

This sounds more like tiered branches with executive below legislative and judicial...
