As a communist party New Labour are striving to do what every communist government does and that is remove freedom of speech along with choice. The communists are as the Gays would say, are ''coming out'' they are showing themselves because they think they are indestructible. The Tribal vote they have is still in tact so they hope to reduce our freedoms even more in future. If they are not stopped our future looks grim. I am not a catholic but respect their right to believe and conduct their spiritual business without interference. With communism this is impossible, remember there is now a secret police force to deal with the values of the church which has full powers of interrogation and search . Secret police are bad enough but How far will the communist go to subdue our churches? The only way forward is the ballot box, so, use your vote wisely. ,Mainstream politics is a wasted vote.

+ Homosexuality +

The Catholic Church believes there is nothing sinful about being homosexual. But homosexuals like all unmarried people are called to celibacy.

Unmarried cohabiting couples, whether heterosexual or homosexual, are living in sin.

+ Adoptions +

The issue at hand is that Catholic adoption agencies in the England and Wales handle about one-third of all private adoptions.

The Catholic Church regularly matches orphans with married (heterosexual) couples. People who are living as our religion believes God intended.

There is a new law taking effect in April that says that the adoption agencies will have to place children with homosexual couples.

Catholics believe that not only it is not in the best interest of the child to place them in an environment of immorality and sin that if they follow the law then they themselves will be sinning in the process.

Catholic doctors are not forced to perform abortions. Catholic prison workers are not forced to execute prisoners. Catholics are not forced to commit what they believe to be sinful acts in any other part of society.

What happened to freedom of religion?

+ With love in Christ.

What right do the Catholic church have to force their doctrine on the rest of us?
How many people in the third world die from AIDS because the Catholic church tell them its wrong to use condoms?
If you are gay and feel you can provide a stable and loving home for any child then what right does the any church have to say no?
Discrimination of any kind is wrong and should be opposed.

Trucker- The Catholic church hardly has a shining reputation when it comes to inappropriate relationships with young boys!!....people in glass houses and all that
And before someone jumps down my throat , yes i know that these occurrences are rare now, and yes I know that there are a great many priests doing great work in and for their communities.

I'm sure there must be Islamic adoption agencies. Will they have to obey this law and offer children to be adopted by same-sex Islamic couples?
I doubt it.
New Labour might wish to impose their doctrine on the Catholic Church adoption agencies. But they have said they'd shut their operations rather than comply.

None. imho. They obviously feel it's against their doctrine. If gay couples want to adopt then surely they can use a non Catholic agency.

When a law like this has been passed its perfectly correct that it should be obeyed by everyone, regardless of their religious beliefs.
If religious beliefs contradict the law of the land then they have no standing.

i am not a catholic either, and you are right, there is a deadly and dangerous history that goes with the gays, thats why they call them gays, to hide the terrable desasters they have caused when they were originaly called "sodomites" i believe
all parties have been infiltrated by them, and churches as well, they are the reason the government is so anti family, every time they rise to power their cities or nations where they have the power are destroyed, we are facing a very black future at the hands of the sodomite.
