We found a peditrician that we really love and we were told that they don't accept our insurance and don't accept cash payments from anyone who has our insurance. Then we said we canceled it and payed anyway because we really love that Dr. and my Fiance mentioned something about us having that insurance and the people at the desk flipped saying they would be fined and we couldn't come back until we had different insurance. However we called the insurance company about this and they said the Drs. office was full of it and we had the right to pay for any Dr. we wanted.

My question is, can the Drs. Office turn us away even though we are willingly to pay?!

I personally don't like passive smoking but the ban does seem both hypocritical and draconian....

...but prostitution is not?

I'm not looking for any social commentary on the evils of either, or whether the laws should be changed. I just want to hear arguments as to WHY one is legal and the other isn't. They seem the same to me, except one is in private while the other is being taped.

Thoughts?

Law makers are busy making laws, but do laws ever get officially removed, or do the law books keep getting bigger and bigger?

First of all let me say Don't knock it till you've tried it. Most of you people are giving your opinion on something you know absolutely nothing about. You've been brainwashed and fed lies from the US government and your parents since you were a kid, and I'm sure the majority of you still are. There's nothing that can't be made from hemp aka marijuana but like someone said before, it can't be taxed because it all started off as a racist law against minorities who used it to relax after a long day of work they were forced to do by the white man. When fights broke out they banned marijuana believing this was the root of their hostility. Same thing with the mexican workers that came into this country in the 1930's. See what I'm getting at? For 4 million years no human has ever been able to tell you what you can or cannot put into your system at your own free will until the 1930's or 40's. I think someone else pointed out that marijuana has more effects at curing ailments and diseases than any plant known to man but big greedy medical companies know that they'd lose alooooooooot of money if this plant was legalized. There are only 2 plants known to man that have all the necessary amino acids humans need: the first, wheat. The second, marijuana. We've used it before Jesus walked this earth for food, clothing, rope, and just to smoke for religious practices. Speaking of religion, if God put it here...why the HELL aren't we taking advantage of this all natural wonder-plant?? Sure other so called drugs were put here like cocaine, opium, barbituates, and stimulants but marijuana is the ONLY thing you can take right off the plant, dry and use. I think it's a ****** up system that we live in where people are actually listening to a government that's already been proven wrong since the start of this so called 'war on drugs'. There's gotta be something better to be worried about than what somebody's doing in the privacy of there own home...hey i know, what about this WAR ON TERROR. We have enough nuclear weapons on this planet to destroy this world 13 times over and we don't even know where the majority of these bombs are thanks to the BUSH ADMINISTRATION... it's all goin up in smoke! But that's a differen't story. All I'm saying is in my opinion marijuana is a blessing and not a curse. Do your homework, kids before you go and say something like " Smoking a joint is equal to smoking a pack of ciggaretts". Where the **** did you ever hear that? obviously someone that can't back it up. Haters! Speaking of health, sure, smoking anything isn't healthy but it's not even close to smoking cigarretts which are full of godknows what!! A vaporizer can be used which has been scientifically proven not to have ANY negative side effects. pure THC! This government will regulate out alcohol which makes you lose control of all motor skills and your thought process. This nation's major income comes from the tax on alcohol and cigarretts....hmmmmm, no wonder they don't ban those. TOO MUCH MONEY! and to think people actually listen to this government. One more thing I have to point out: I don't know if any of you has seen that one commercial where a scribbly drawn man is smoking a joint and his girlfriend tells him she doesn't like him doing that...so an alien comes and abducts her and steals her for his own. ..........uh........who's on drugs now? So if I am to smoke weed, are you saying that an alien will steal my gf? What the ****. I don't understand why if weed is so bad, why don't they just give you the facts about WHY it is bad instead of avoiding the truth or beating around the bush. I'm all for legalizing marijuana. I don't believe in any man telling me what or what I can't do with my own body or life. It's a ****** up world that we live in, man.

Is the inalienable right to liberty predicated upon entering into a nonnegotiable contract with the government whereby you must provide a percentage of your resources to said government or risk incarceration? If so, how then can this be called an inalienable right? To be forced to continually purchase your freedom annually, seems to me a bit disingenuous in a “true democracy" formed by the rejection of such practice.

In other words: should prostitution be legal (outside of Nevada)? Isn't it a question of "my body, my choice?" Also the constitutional right to made a contract without government interference? Or is there more to it: moral issues; health and safety, etc.? What do YOU think?

The situation is my cousin has been charge for a crime that she didn't commit and all the evidence or lack there of is circumstantial against her and can be used against the other person just as easily and that another person fits into the time frame of the crime that the prosecutors has and my cousin. Now that person previously admitted to their lawyer after it happen that they committed the crime but of course his lawyer doesn't have to release his confusion even after they arrested my cousin for his crime. However what his lawyers don't know it that he sent my cousin an email admitting/confessing to what he had done not thinking it would matter in her case and putting a lot on detail into it as well, now she is getting it authenticated and on top of that he sent her text messages where he also implemented himself in the crime and was taunting her, she has gotten those authenticated. And in his text messages he backs up his email confession and then adds to it by giving even more details. My question is can she use that against him to get her charges dropped?

That there are some jobs that you are paid to kill. Like being a soldier, a doctor providing lethal injection in the legal system...But what about liberally-minded lobbyist/politician... This works on a much larger scale than those...When you are a liberal voter/lobbyist/politician, you are helping to destroy and kill a whole society, correct? When gays walk in the street saying, "I'm proud to be gay.", when we take the Ten Commandments and Nativity scenes out, leaving the Star of David, it's hypocritical and dangerous...I guess you didn't understand what it means where it says, "Thou shalt not kill" after all, taking those out and then killing unborn children, but oh well, those would be encouraged to become gay by the media and liberal voters/lobbyists/politicians, correct?

An ex friend Came in my house. I though she was here to see my son. No she thinks I neglect my cats, and she said that she was here to take them. She said she talked to me fiance and he said go ahead.... Well he never said anything to her. She took them to Angels for animals. I knew where she was taking them, so I called, and when they arrived I got a call. I was allowed to come pick them up. When I did the guy said they are in perfect health, and that if I didnt pick them up that day they were going to be put to sleep the next day. She knew that too.
Well two days later I get the Humane Society knocking on my door. He said that they got a complaint about my DOGS and Cats now. When he seen my dogs, he just shook his head, I showed him the cats, he said everything looked fine. I dont know if it was her or not. She is the only one that has a prob. with the way I take care of my animals. So i know it was her, But how to prove? She said that she doesnt want me to ahve any animals!

I thought that compensation was given as a payment or reparation for service or loss. In my opinion, a person's salary is the compensation, and the bonus is given freely for how well the service is performed.

When Georgy bush was governor of Texas we had the most inmates put to death in a single year.[386 Including one woman that the victims family asked that the sentence be converted to life, she was killed anyway ]My ? is this why dont the states call it what it is.It is MURDER!! Just because it is sactioned by the state isnt any less than what it is, they are taking a life. When it is broadcast over the news it says another inmate lost their life tonight. They didnt lose it It was taken away just like their victims!!! I dont believe that killing someone is the way to go. I will never sit on a jury.!!! Only God has the right to judge. Why not bill the family for the last meal or ever the cost of the drugs to kill them???Have we become so inhumane that we can sleep easy knowing that we as Ameericansd are allowing this to continue..What happened to the American Conscience.???We have already lost the constitution

They have sent a letter saying that they are going to press legal action on me within 10 days of reciving this letter, in the letter they tell me to call to see if an out of court can be arranged, my question is I have not been able to find steady work and what work I do find its not steady at all and make enough to survive. I own nothing to my name. If this does go to court and they do pass judgement can I go to jail? What can they do with me not having a steady job right now? Any help would be greatly appricated.

Dear sir/madam.
I'd like to ask you a question regarding my recent
accident. While ago I have been stabbed by a group of people. There was a police present and afterwards the ambulance took me to the hospital.I went through a very serious surgery. After I was released administration of hospital tried to reach me in other to settle the payment.I have been in contact with some of the hospital representative.Unforchantly,I don't have a savings.I do work for a church as a superintendent.Basically,it pays my rent .I gave my information to the person who was in charge of it. To my knowledge she's been in contact with one of the reverend in the church administration. At the present time I'm out of visa.Receive payment in cash. Therefore church administration denied hospital representative
any help to settle this case. The denial was based on words /He is an illegal and we do not want to have any problems with it!/
I can proof all this years of work for them.
Do I have any rights to settle this case through the church so I can be out of debt
and hospital can get there payment.I still receive a phone calls from the hospital.
Thank you for you time.
E mail me for the further information.
Thank you
Have a great day!

I have been trying to get a job with a recruitment agency. In a phone call yesterday, one of the staff was very offensive to me.

I have Cerebral Palsy which makes it difficult and painful for me to handwrite, but I can use a computer with ease. While talking to one of their employees he said that because of this that, in his oppinion, I am 'illiterate'. As you can imagine I was pretty hacked off at hearing this and put in a complaint about him.

During the complaint his boss clamied that they had been trying to get me a job but all the employers that they had contacted wouldn't be interested in me on health and safety grounds.

I don't accept this view and I was wondering if anyone on here knows what my rights are on this and if you know what the procedure is for me to take this matter further. I am not interested in compensation, its just a matter of principle.

Thanks for reading this.
