They have done it in a few counties in the state that I live in and I love it. I used to be a smoker and then and smoker only while drinking and now no smoking at all. I have found that I am allergic to the smoke. Even going to resturants that allow smoking yet (in the other counties), I can smell the smoke on my clothing and in my hair. It is really nice going out and not having the lingering smoke in the air.

Well, the fact that the government is asserting excessive control over the average citizen's way of life isn't good, but it is a step in the right direction to be eliminating smoking in any way. You know, the smoke pollutes the air, causes diseases even in non smokers, creates litter, addicts people, and then costs a bunch, but they can't outright stop smoking everywhere because that would make a bunch of people jobless and in withdrawal and all that.
So basically, as long as they stop at smoking, it sounds fine to me! But whoever it was that mentioned Big Brother- the government in 1984 still allowed smoking because it was a way to keep citizens under their control.

I'm a smoker, and I'm actually quite pleased about it in a weird way. When I was in the US recently I smoked so much less it was untrue, because you're not allowed to smoke in bars/restaurants. I realise its going to take a lot of adjusting but you get used to it so quickly. It's actually nice coming home and not smelling of smoke too.

I don't think they will ever ban selling cigarettes because of the money they make out of the tax on them is astronomical!

Yes, it is good. You wouldn't consider smoking crack in public taking away someone's 'liberties', would you? Other people don't want smoke, and letting others infringe on that stops THEIR right to a healthy life.

Don't think it is good at all. It is taking away liberties from some.
