I wrote my ex a check for the amount of $36,000.00 signed it and went about my business, well a few days later I went to the bank and found out my account had been frozen. I found out that she had changed the $36,000.00 to $86,000.00. Now Im confused does this count as check fraud, or just forgey? or both? and also if what are the charges that could be consider? Thanks,
Brad

Is the slogan used on a billboard for a liquor store/bar/male dance club. It also has a picture of the girl. I have seen two more like this (one saying she is 14 and her Daddy needs money). I find it to be almost of child pornography. Is this gross to other people? Is it leagle to use a minor for alcohol advertizment?

About 2 years ago, I was arrested on a charge of theft. I spent about 6 hours in jail, and finally a friend posted bail for me. A couple of weeks later, I appeared in court, and the charges against me were dismissed. The fact is, I hadn't actually done anything, anyway.

My question is this: I see on TV (and elsewhere) people being released, and/or suing the police, because they were not read their Miranda Rights when they were arrested. When it happened to me, nobody read me any rights. They picked me up (at work), brought me before a district judge, and afterward dropped me off at the correctional facility.

Would I be able to sue because of this? The incident cost me a day's work, aside from the embarrassment, etc.

If you have an Answer for me, I can provide more details if you contact me.

The woman who have birth to my sister and I was given custody of us both by a godless court system. My father saved our souls and enabled us to be raised in our wonderful church by fleeing with us to Venezuela. But this has now found us and is demanding our return. She is a loose and godless woman and shall lead us astray. How can we make the court system which betrayed us before that we cannot possibly go back to that sinful life and leave our beloved and sainted father?

I had something a while ago, that I didn't do. They have me under the Departement of Family services saying I did, but under a different name.
They said because there was a finding with it, that I have to clear my name.
I have been running around in circles trying to figure out what I need to do, but when I called the district courts to see if they have anything on me, they don't.
So I have to talk to an attorney about it.
I don't have that kind of money to really do anything with an attorney. My question is, do I have to tell them to appoint someone for me to talk to? So I can resolve this matter? Its not even under my correct name, and I need to get this resolved asap.

Coca-Cola has a policy in the country of Colombia in which they intentionally sell coke cheaper than water so that if a family has to choose between water and coke for their children, they buy coke. Coke is not healthy for children to drink on a regular basis.

Do American corporations have an obligation to conduct business ethically in other nations?

Do American citizens have an obligation to insure decent conduct by their corporations doing business overseas?

If they don't, what do we say in 30 years when a bunch of angry Colombians hijack airplanes and crash them into prominent buildings in our country?

My opinion is, that the dangerous dogs act will only work if the police and the general public work together and the police should have a specific section of officers who, when a member of the public contacts them with proof of a dog behaving dangerously, will go out and remove the dog from that persons care, permanently.

Those people that own more than 1 dog that behaves dangerously should be banned from having dogs for life and if they disobey that, then they should recieve an extremely long prison sentence that isnt suspended.

What do you think?
