Say you were on a jury charged with sentancing me, what sentance would you give me for this crime- the pre meditated murder, fully planned and admitted by myself, of someone who who had sexually abused my very young daughter.

This is totally hypothetical, I just read a John Grisham book with a similar story, just wondered how it would translate into England.

We have a property which has a driveway easement (landlocked issues). 12ft was given by two seperate neighbors. Our driveway is very well maintained by us but our neighbors who give 12 ft. wants to ride 4 wheelers up and down our road and it kills our grass and makes a muddy mess. Anyway we have purchased the property beside ours which was the other half of the 12ft easement, so we now own half of the easement. We have moved our road and made us another driveway off of their 12ft, which was basically half of the other road. We want to put up a fence on our half of the easement we now own. Can we do that? Our neighbor is harrassing us because he wants the road kept so he can use it to get to the back of his propety, this easement was granted 30 years ago for our property to use not his. We maintain it, We have no problem with letting him have what is rightfully his half. But can we put fence and shrubs on what we now own of our easement?

"Edwards: Janitors continue rights push

By MARCUS WOHLSEN, Associated Press Writer Sun Mar 4, 9:52 PM ET

BERKELEY, Calif. - Democratic presidential contender
John Edwards on Sunday called a janitors' campaign for better wages at the University of California, Berkeley, a continuation of the civil rights struggle that began in the 1960s.

Edwards sounded the civil rights theme to commemorate the 42nd anniversary of the "Bloody Sunday" clash between black voting rights marchers and police in Selma, Ala.

"This march for economic and social justice for the men and women who work at this university is a part of a bigger march in America for fairness and equality," Edwards said during a stop on his current tour of college campuses."

Because he prefers to remain a hypocrite?

You probably think there is no hope for ex convicted sex offenders. Let me tell you about a success story. First, it's one thing to be presumed an offender, sometimes when people go on a witch hunt they'll not stop till they find something or someone who fits the description even in the smallest way. So I got out of prison, only to find out there was no place to live till The Lord provided me with and and a trailer I am currently Owning my Own shop and Singing for the LORD ...and no, for you people who like to track ppl like us, I will N O T reveal that info because you ppl need a life. Leave sex offenders alone, worry about yourself, keep yer mouth shut....unless ya can prove beyond a shadow of doubt an offender has invaded your life, (by means of DNA). Otherwise the coin can flip, and someday you'll be judged just the same way you Judge a presumed Sex offender, ex convict. Lastly , For My Law enforcement friends, Thanx for keeping me safe, and Yes, I am registered ThankYou

Does he have to wait until the end of the term to pardon? Will this lead to more resignations? Will this lead to charges against Cheney possibly. I think that would be bad for the country, even though I hate the guy (Cheney).

Has there ever been a case like this? Its seems unprecedented to me, but Im only 27, born after Nixon, etc.

In many countries, there are laws according to which you can be punished for saying offensive things about people's religious beliefs. I'm an atheist and as such don't have any religious belief, but extremist Christians and Muslims can and do say all kinds of offensive things about my lack of belief, and I have no legal comeback because atheism isn't an organised religion but a philosophical position.

I'm used to being offended on a regular basis by people who take pleasure in informing me that I'm a stupid evil whatever who's going to burn in hell, and I've stopped minding (hate the sin not the sinner and all that), but why should they get to insult me and not me them?

Former vice president Al Gore was involved in a security breach at the Nashville Airport when an American Airlines employee led him and his entourage around security, a clear violation of policy.

"There are no exceptions. Everyone must go through security," airport spokesperson Lynn Lowrance said.

Wednesday at the Nashville Airport, Gore arrived with two others and airport. Sgt. Gary Glover with airport police waited for his arrival and to go through security.

"He made his way to security, waiting for him to come through the check area, then he saw him pop up past security in a sterile area," Lowrance said.

Gore and his group bypassed the metal detectors, a blatant security breach.

friend 1 has a car, friend 2 needs a car so they write up a not so well thought out contract stating I can't ask for it back and you can't give it back. the car is still in Friend 1's name so Friend 1 still owns it. They sign it and have notarized. Would it hold up in court?

Soon a new law which will give Bailiffs legal right of entry I.E breaking in to your house with NO need for a court order may be passed. I think this will be a major infringement of civil liberties. What do you think?

Just out of curiousity, if you lived with parents for example and owed money could a baliff enter the house and take things if they dont belong to you? Surely no otherwise they could go knocking on anyones door taking anyones things!

Apparently Bailiffs will legally be allowed to break into our homes to seize items for payment if people are in credit card debt Etc

Only thing is I keep getting letting from Bailiffs and have had them come to my door on numerous occasions asking for payment from someone who moved out over 5 years ago

I have sent the letters back phoned the court house and told the bailiffs face to face that they don't live here and yet the still come

So does this mean we could have our house broken into and our stuff seized legally?

How do people like me get safe guarded against this proposal?
