It is a scam that will somewhere ask you to send money(you do and you lose). These are scams running from places all over the world recently as busted in Nigeria but making like they were from the UK.
You should contact the Department of Justice's website as they have a link for reporting this type of activity. It is a felony to do this and you should take the short time to report it and send along a copy of these emails. There have been a growing number of non savvy people who are falling for this scam and have lost a great deal of money.

yes,i sent him some money because now i am entered on a lotto and will win a lot of money. It could not be false as the e-mail is real.

it always a scam to get you personal information and use it to get credit cards or even get money from your bank account.or they give you a check you cash it give them some money and you find out the check is no good now you are stuck owing the bank
