My girlfriend & I had both applied for visas. Some 4 weeks after applying,my girlfriend who is white and British received her visa with no problem, however all i received was a call telling me that my visa had been rejected & that I had to go for a personal interview to the embassy in London to discuss my application.
I was somewhat concerned by this considering I am a British muslim who was born in this country & have held a British passport all my life. To add to this,my parents are both of Indian descent. Nevetheless,i made the long trip to London,& brought the documents with me needed for an application: current passport, 2 passport photo's,& completed form.
After queuing for 2 hours, the woman at the counter took quick glance at my form & insisted that i needed more details - my old passport, both of my parents passports,& a letter from my employer to confirm that i worked there.
I am shocked to have to provide such comprehensive details. Why have i been discriminated this way?

Im not sure where to classify this question but im going to ask it anyways. I am 9 weeks pregnant right now, i turn 17 tomorrow, and the age of consent to sex, is 17. Me and my partner, are getting married on thursday, which is two days after i turn 17. He is 22 years old, my mother has known that we are together, and that we are dating. She was allowing it. If we get married, does that mean that he will not be able to get in trouble because i was 16, or does my mother have to be the one to press charges? Please help me out!! I would really appriciate it. Thank you!

Police catches the criminal (when the catch..., lol).
They cannot prevent a person or gang to commit a first crime.
What would?

Here I am talking about all kinds of crime. Any Crime.
It is known that we tend to repeat successful actions.
It is based on this that criminals rarely stop. They keep commiting crimes until the day they get caught. They go to prision and when they are out, they get back to crime.

If one could prevent a first crime, one would prevent crime at all.

Who are of dimished mental capacity when they commit crimes?

Something like, if you got depressed and killed someone then you get 2 years

if you are kind of slow then you get 5 years

if you are just plum insane you get 3 years

if you are actually mentally challenged then you are free to go and do whatever you want.

if you are a person who is owning up to your actions than you get life.

OR

Should we have standard sentences based on the actual crime commited?

I have been working at my current job for about a year and a half. Everything was going very well, I excelled quickly within my first 6 months and was promoted twice (due to the fact that the person had the job was doing it incorrectly). My boss said I was doing very well, and I even received "merit raises". For about the last 2 months I have began to dread my job, not because of the work, but because of the person that was sent in to "oversee" operations. My old boss is still my direct boss, but I also have to report to this other person. I feel that he degrades me, and makes me feel incompetent... wich I am not! I could put up with that, but now I am in fear of losing my job. I found out from my old boss that this new guy thinks I am too young to understand and handle the tasks of my current position, which I have been at for most of my employment with the company. I started working for the company when I was 17 as the receptionist, I was promoted to payroll clerk within

I have an idea for a multi billion pound project, more or less from screatch to create over a period of 0 to 10 years. I have to recommend this idea direct to the Prime Minister and do not go for patent or Solicitor. How can I be sure that my idea will not be stolen by one of his office or who so ever will open my letter. Please suggest the best possible way to protect it. If my idea is implemented, what sort of reward, I should be asking? Shold I ask before of after sending him the idea. Please advise the best way.

People who commit crimes and say they were "temporarily insane" or whatever, should they really be exempt from the full extent of the law? They still commited a crime.

Accused criminals thrown in jail may have been good.

Up till that 1 crime they did.

Is it fear of the "criminal" that keeps them from ever thinking the person can ever be any good again?

According to a recent article, most blacks want the Duke La Crosse rape accuser who is black, to at get a chance to put the 3 accused white defendants on trial for sexual assault, even though there is no evidence to link these boys to her claim of sexual assault.

Should the laws be changed to make it easier for accusers to go to trial without evidence, then let the courts decided innocence or guilty? Would changing the law help blacks? Or will changing the law cause people of all races to file more bogus claims against each other?

This is the Dupe rape article:
