They are obviously not animal lovers, so why are they not banned for life?

Unfortunately, the punishment does not equal the crime in animal cases because the depth of inhumanity and cruelty hasn't been either sufficiently catalogued or it hasn't reached the point of sufficient significance to warrant more severe punishment. Personally, I'd like to see those who abuse animals suffer the same fate and I'd gladly volunteer to inflict it, if called. Absolutely nothing burns me faster, hotter or brings an overwhelming sadness than to see or hear of someone abusing a helpless animal. Someone once wrote that the greatness and strength of a people is measured by how the weak and defenseless are treated. Makes one wonder where we stand as a species, doesn't it?

I did see a clip on the television tube. From what I said he had to area the dogs who were going to ruin one yet another, and that i imagine perhaps if he had used his fingers he could have lost some hands. those are gun dogs after all. no longer your everyday family members puppy. they did not coach a lot so i could have ignored the thrashing area. besides the undeniable fact that you'll desire some responses from farmers and such like, who understand more suitable than something individuals about this. i'm no longer an advise of looking for exhilaration, yet i understand some human beings subsidise their lives with creatures they have hunted e.g. fishing, rabbit snares, pheasant capturing. it truly is a desirable debate to even if we could continuously be in route of the land to stop mass farming cruelty, the position animals have low high quality of existence and little normality. If we do away completely with u . s . peoples pastimes can we also flow remote from the land a lot that we now no longer look on animals as creatures yet only products.

I quite agree. While some crimes may have a degree of moral justification or be motivated by our survival instinct, in most circumstances there can be no mitigation for cruelty to animals.

...and the Tory party wants to repeal animal cruelty legislation so that a few psyco's can watch a wild animal being ripped apart by a pack of dogs.

Probably some legal loop hole. Many people who are cruel to animals go on to be cruel to humans.

Consider "Doctors" who slaughter of innocent unborn children and honors those who perform this bizarre, and sick ritual. If they can be cruel to an unborn child, where will their cruelty stop?

I'd like to see them abused the same way they abuse animals, but that's just me. How weak and cowardly does someone have to be to abuse animals? Yeesh.
