My daughter had a dental appointment but the office just called and cancelled it because they found out I had went and got a 2nd opinion from a different dentist. Do they have the right to do this? They said my daughter cannot come back anymore just because we got a second opinion. I called the dental board but they said they only handle complaints related to tooth work. This just doesn't seem right.

He's been staying here for the last few months and bought a TV and some other things. i was wondering since he didn't pay me any rent or anything and I don't have proof of rent and he doesn't have proof that he stayed her, if he is allowed to take the property. I mean between family members I wouldn't make him sign a lease for rent.

I was in a car wreck a month ago,and i wasn't the driver of the car. I was taken to the local hospital who didnt touch me because i was classified as a trauma patient. However, they did giveme a drug test, without telling me about it,or notifying me of the results. I was transferred to a trauma hospital and stayed there for 3 weeks.2 weeks later, I go to a different doctor (in my hometown)to get more prescription for my pain meds, and she tells me that I tested positive for weed useage so she couldn't give me any more pain meds. Narcotic. I know there isn't anything i can do about it, but I'd like to know, why they did it?And was it legal?I wasn't even the driver of the car,and they didn't treat me for anything at the hospitial so what gave them the right?

My parents own a campground on a lake, and my 95 YO invalid grandmother lives on the property. Recently there was a major train wreck nearby, and it dumped a great deal of oil into the lake. My grandmother, the property, the campground business, and the tenants have all suffered from the damage from the wreck as well as damage from the cleanup crew sent to fix the mess. I'm not sure where to start as far as what kind of lawyers/legal specialties we need to ensure my parents don't get sued and everyone is fairly compensated for the damages they have suffered. Any suggestions?

We do live together and he knows where I keep my jewelry. When I broke off the engagement, I gave the ring back. A couple weeks ago he returned it to me saying he never wanted it back. I placed it in my jewelry drawer. 5 days ago I told him it was over for good that even though we love each other we just cant live together. I went on a 3 day trip and when I came back it was gone. I know it is appropiate for the girl to return the ring if you don't get married, but it is up to me to give it back to him. I told him that until I give it back, it is mine and that he has stolen it. He kept saying we should sell it and split the money. I have insisted he return it and he then said it is at his Dad's where no one can find it. I think he may have already sold it or pawned it otherwise he would tell me exactly where it is as I told him that I could report it as stolen. What should I do?

I was suspended last week pending investigation on an allegation that i had 'colluded' with another employee in order to disrupt the running of my workplace. The evidence given to me was a list of the other employee's work telephone records over a set amount of dates showing that on several occasions the employee had telephoned me. This is the only evidence that was used to come to that conclusion. Have i been dismissed unfairly and should i take the matter any further legally?

Thankyou in advance for your help!

When Mr. George Bush recently passed a law concerning Torture, he had it backdated to back when the actual tortures started, back near enough the 09/11/01 date so, when he was taking the "Oath of Office" (Swearing to uphold the Law and the Virtue of the Law) if he knew about those tortures, he was an "accessory after the fact" to them, ergo He would have known he had committed Crime(s), (just not tried yet) so is it a 'given' that when he took his Oath, he was lying, and therefore committed a crime/criminal offense?

One of the Few Places in Life where Lying can get you in trouble with the law, that/there, and in a courtroom.

Sometimes when I go to the store with a lot of change or some rolls of coins, they won't take them. Someone told me that if you're able to purchase an item, and you have the correct US currency, they have to accept the money. Even if they have to count all the pennies. Is this the Law?

Several states around the country as well as the federal government have passed laws prohibiting picketing around a funeral. It would seem that every state is different.

Kentucky's law stated that not only would protesters have to be 300 feet from the funeral home, but that their signs could not be visible. It also included all signs including yard sale signs and the like. This law was struck down when I filed a federal lawsuit.

What do you think? Do you think that peaceful protests a reasonable distance from a funeral home (let's say 200-300 feet) should be legal or illegal?

We recently had a home built. There are also 5 new subdivisions in our area some yet to be built others already selling lots/houses. Recently, practically in my back yard, a sign showed up stating there is a proposal to built 200 apt units, a housing project for low income families. Everyone is concerned that our property values will take a huge dive. We are going to the public comments meeting but is there a case to sue the city if values drop. The homes are area are priced well above the median price in our city.

political crew(you guys) thought about this quote regarding a person learning Christian ways of life?

"It is of note that the Indians of Peru, before we Christians had come to them, had certain and particular modes of swearing, distinct from ours. They had no assertive oaths, such as 'by God' or 'by heaven' but only execration or curses... e.g. 'if I am not telling the truth, may the sun kill me' they said mana checcanta niptiy, indi guanuchiuancmancha... Once when I asked a chieftain in a certain province if he was a Christian, he said 'I am not yet quite one, but I am making a beginning.' I asked him what he knew of being Christian, and he said: 'I know how to swear to God, and play cards a bit, and I am beginning to steal.'"

We bought the house together & he told me he would have the title switched to have both of your names. He lied & didn't do it after the closing, as well, after I reminded him. He refused to claiming that he talked to an attorney, and changed his mind. He said the lawyer told him it was not in his best interest! We had saved more than $15,000.00 together to get our house built, buy new furniture, etc. What do I do? I want out, and I want my half of the profit from the present worth of the house. He's trying to get the whole, but we had a joint checking account the whole time, including more than a year prior to the purchase of the house. What should my next move be? I am a single mother, and let me tell you, I worked my hinie off for a year to put us in a much bigger house than the first one we bought together!

I work in a not so clean apartment complex, during my employment I have seen people live in others filth,by that I mean constant sewage leaks and no replacement of carpet or lino.I personally have seen sewage ooooz out from underneith the lino...one hallway was contanimated and all they did was spray deoderizer...I hope there won't be any babies planning on licking the floors. The molds that they find are just painted over so if you live there don't plan on scratching the paint. Should this be a concerne I should bring up with housing athourity...or is this legal and I just don't know it.

they say might is right and thats what we have seen in this case. Bush is hailed like a Hero because he leads the might, had he been among the vanquished he would have been in Saddams place instead. but the conqueror gets the spoils of war... the loser gets a Necktie Party. I say Americans are equally or more Barbaric than the ones they call barbaric and use this as an excuse to plunder and loot.

If it DOES have to be notarized do my 3 witnesses have to sign in front to the notary or can i have it notarized after they sign it?
