We recently had a home built. There are also 5 new subdivisions in our area some yet to be built others already selling lots/houses. Recently, practically in my back yard, a sign showed up stating there is a proposal to built 200 apt units, a housing project for low income families. Everyone is concerned that our property values will take a huge dive. We are going to the public comments meeting but is there a case to sue the city if values drop. The homes are area are priced well above the median price in our city.

Umm, and why would this damage your precious neighborhood and so devestate your property values?
Because the rich and snobby don't want to look at the less fortuneate because it makes you feel bad about your over-priced houses are cars? Oh wait - poor people = criminals?

Just so you know - low income housing does not mean "the projects" - it also includes the elderly, the disabled, and those in crisis.

How snobby can you get.

Talk to a real estate lawyer. Remember it is a PROPOSAL, not written in stone. Same thing was supposed to happen behind our home, but the original buyer defaulted and some very nice condos went in there. Why does the developer want to build there specifically?

OTOH, maybe it would bring your homes down to more reasonable prices.

First no you'll answer the question, you are able to ask the guy who's providing the housing. each and each may have a diverse rule in this. some will say, reliable that you'll make the fee and take you, some may imagine you'll do an identical to them, no longer pay, and in no way take you. so some distance because the cats flow, pets are large for individuals. you've determined the cats are more suitable significant than your desire for houseing as a renter. save searching for someoe who provide you with the lease volume you want and assist you save your cats. in my opinion, i recognize pets, yet as a renter i could no longer enable any animal, guy, buddy, or undesirable impression indanger my and my childs housing. That's a lot of thugs. You can certainly complain, but chances are they'll be built anyway.
