I was in a car wreck a month ago,and i wasn't the driver of the car. I was taken to the local hospital who didnt touch me because i was classified as a trauma patient. However, they did giveme a drug test, without telling me about it,or notifying me of the results. I was transferred to a trauma hospital and stayed there for 3 weeks.2 weeks later, I go to a different doctor (in my hometown)to get more prescription for my pain meds, and she tells me that I tested positive for weed useage so she couldn't give me any more pain meds. Narcotic. I know there isn't anything i can do about it, but I'd like to know, why they did it?And was it legal?I wasn't even the driver of the car,and they didn't treat me for anything at the hospitial so what gave them the right?

If they did not treat you at all I would contact a lawyer and see what you can do. but try taking aleive. it helps my pain in my let, I have a rod pin and plate and when the weather is cold it bothers it and I take aleive and that helps the pain. good luck.

Nothing. You can sue them for HIPAA violations.

I would think that they have to tell you about it.
