My girlfriend & I had both applied for visas. Some 4 weeks after applying,my girlfriend who is white and British received her visa with no problem, however all i received was a call telling me that my visa had been rejected & that I had to go for a personal interview to the embassy in London to discuss my application.
I was somewhat concerned by this considering I am a British muslim who was born in this country & have held a British passport all my life. To add to this,my parents are both of Indian descent. Nevetheless,i made the long trip to London,& brought the documents with me needed for an application: current passport, 2 passport photo's,& completed form.
After queuing for 2 hours, the woman at the counter took quick glance at my form & insisted that i needed more details - my old passport, both of my parents passports,& a letter from my employer to confirm that i worked there.
I am shocked to have to provide such comprehensive details. Why have i been discriminated this way?

I'm afraid that you not get too far.

In a nutshell - A visa is issued upon that countries legal requirements and you have to furfill them - If not you won't be allowed in.

It may be that they are making sure that you are who you say you are.

Sadly, the world is a lot more dangerous, and people are more suspicious. They will not see it as discrimination, just making sure you are genuine.

Provide the information with a smile - its your only option.

Because there trying to stop a over whelming tide of Un-genuine cases. You may be totally entitled to your visa in every respect, but there are those who will try and play the system.
you wouldn't complain if you saw the figure's regarding how many people who were caught illegaly trying to gain access.
They HAVE to be thorough.
just follow the rules mate and it'll be cool in the end.

sounds like you have been discriminated against however I can tell you now and for nothing you wont get very far due to diplomatic immunity. If diplomatic staff can get away with child molestation and killing a police officer then your chances of getting anything done are negligible
