Never, if there is such a thing as justice.
Forget the debt issue, for we are persuaded into debt by neccessity, and the power of the banks, stores and all those who wish to make money at our expence.
It is possible to have a dispute with a supplier of goods or services, and thousands of us do.
What is happening now is that the banks, local councils, and any one else can pass your debt, disputed, real, or imaginary to a debt collection agency, and any of these agencies can apply for a court order to reclaim the debt - WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE! Thus empowering the bailiffs to kick in your front door.
They will of course claim to have sent you written details of your now dealt with court case, but do not have to prove that you received it.
However, if you are in debt which you cannot afford to pay, then contact a free debt counselling service, such as The Consumer Credit Councelling Service, or the Money Advice department of your local council.
Do not use a service that you have to pay for!
Secondly, pray that there's enough honest, and decent men in parliament to flush this legislation where it belongs - but don't count on it.
