Two neighbors recently told me they had 2 calls each from a creditor wanting to know where I was. One had an unlisted number. This creditor is demanding full payment and said theyd sue me if I didnt pay them 4200. They gave me 4 hours to pay the debt and said I must postdate a check. They are a legal company, though I couldnt get a reportfrom the bbb.
I feel bullied to the point where I cant sleep. They wanted me to reopen a line of credit to pay them. They dont care about me or that that would make my credit worse. I really do want to get back on my feet. I dont want to file bankrupcy over a few thousand dollars I have every intention of paying as quickly as possible. MY husband lost his job, and my job doesnt pay well. I am looking for a better job and working as many hours as I can. I am trying to make things right.

I was ticketed,last August,for"Cursing In Front of Children"because I said "This is F...ing Bullsh.t!"to a cop and a kid,about 12 yrs. old was riding by.(I talked to him,later,to apologize,and1)He didn't hear me2)Hethought it was FUNNY I got a ticket for THAT,and,3)his"Mom and Dad say worse than that,all the time."...)Before this,I had a PERFECT record.I pled guilty,cuz i couldn't afford an atty.I got a $122.50 fine,and I now have a misdemeanor Disturbing the Peace.After 38 yrs. with no record,and I think the action that GAVE me a record is,in itself,nothing short of a blatent violation of MY civil rights!Ironic,eh???Tell me if I'm wrong.Peace.

I just read a news story about the ACLU wanting to sue a former correctional facility in Texas for housing illegal immigrants in sub standard housing. These people are being housed, fed, given medical treatement @ our ( Americans ) expense. Also, they are not locked up,they are free to roam the facility as they please. Question is, Does anyone else see anything wrong W/this lawsuite?
ACLU stands for AMERICAN CIVIL LIBERTIES not ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS CIVIL LIBERTIES.Am I missing something here?Thank you to all who respond.

For example, a landlord or letting agent could not advertise a house for rent stating: "No [insert race, gender, colour, religion] etc .... but frequently state "No DSS / no Housing Benefit". We don't think this should be legal - but is it? The argument is often used that it's because the landlord's mortgage agreement / insurance makes this stipulation - but is it legal for the mortgage or insurance company to discriminate against people on this basis?

I have heard that homosexuality is legal I don't know where in the world. Also a poor man is obliged to pay the same taxes as the rich man , and people with better posibilities differing only percent.
I think it is ridiculous to ask an old man to pay taxes. He lived other ages , he had to face the war and fight in war for the future generation and his wife receives only the money with which she can buy bread dayly.
Also young man who hardly can earn some money to buy food and clothes shouldn't pay taxes, especialy that he is not able to buy a house from his work, and has to live with his wife , child and his parents into two rooms. What is this government for if we can hardly buy food and clothes from our hard work working a day long , and never have the chance to buy a house. Perhaps only a poor apartment(fleg), at the end of our 3 lives at 7 level, without a garden , living like in a tomb, and as if we are angels , and can live in the sky.

Where I park is a cul-de-sac on an unmade track, designated by the County Council as a Private Street. A developer intendsto open up the cul-de-sac and use the track in front of my house as access for cars to a new property. Also, in my deeds there is a conveyance which gives me the right to access the track to my property but no others. In addition this conveyance states that only the owners/residents of the 12 terraced properties on one of the track can grant access to others to their properties. The developer argues that because the County Council has designated this private street a 'highway', he has full rights to use it as access to his yet to built new property. Where do I stand legally?

My brother has got married to a girl who was not virgin at the time of marriage. He is now not able to tolerate her and started torturing her. He told her, " I could not sleep with a lady who has so bad physical condition, even if I could have got a girl like you in free of cost."Can we apply for divorce on this ground? Can my sister-in-law harrass my brother on the ground of mental torture? If she cannot prove the mental torture, then can we take any legal step against her? Can mental torture be proved? My brother has used so many slang languages in his mail to her. Can it be a valid document as a proof?

Assume the Conservative Party has just won a vote of no confidence in the Government following a debate in the House of Commons. The Conservative Party “won” because a large number of Labour MPs were unable to attend the House of Commons because of the chaotic state of the railways.

Mr Blair refuses to resign. His argument is that Labour has a big majority in the House of Commons and if their members had been able to get to Westminster, Labour would not have been defeated in the vote of confidence. Mr Cameron, the leader of the Conservative Party, argues that this is nonsense and that Mr Blair and his government should resign.

Advise the Queen on the constitutional issues involved and Mr Cameron as to whether he may take legal action to force Mr Blair and his government to resign and as to his chances of success.
