why do the stupid british government insist on making stun guns illegal....I would like to genuinly buy one for self defence, but i can't as they are illegal....and if you get caught you face the same punishment as someone walking down the street with a loaded gun!.....and also, surely the teenagers of britain who go around stabbing each other would prefer to harmlessly electrocute each other rather than stabbing each other with huge knives???

I recently got a $45 mail-in rebate from Trendnet for their Router+USB bundle. But today, I received another rebate of $45. I got two because 1 1/2 month after I mailed the rebate, I contacted Trendnet inquiring what happened to my rebate. I send them a picture of my receipt and then they mailed my first rebate of $45 over. Just then I discovered they had received my rebate stuff and they sent me another $45. Is it legal to cash the second cheque in? Should I? What would you do?

We have the technology, the ingenuity and the awareness to do so much. But do we have the will? We can cure many diseases and we can alleviate the symptoms of others but have made health and treatment into a for-profit business. We can explore distant galaxies but ignore our own planet. We saved the whales yet take no action against countries who flaunt the whaling ban. We are educated but our education system fails our children. We have harnessed the atom but don't use it for peaceful purposes. We detest crime yet we abide criminals. We work hard to take care of ourselves and our families but always seem to be back-pedalling. We have borders but they are invisible. We have laws but they are useless. We have ideas and thoughts and we keep them to ourselves (except to grumble on Yahoo! Answers!).

We KNOW how to solve our collective problems - so why the heck don't we?

Just wodering because i make a lot of remarks on George Bush's decisions on our war and other things that people focus on too much because news channels are focusing on 1 topic(ana nicole smith) rather than informing misleading people on our war. Such as the fact that some things that are blamed on our president isn't really his fault but people don't understand that. Plus, I'm not too much a Bush person but on some things i defend him with but others i don't and i usually make my unpatriotic remarks publicly rather than privatley such as at school and other public places. Thats why i wanted to know wheter or not it is safe to express my feeling rather than keeping the bottled up inside.

Should I call the police. I know shes here illegally and if arrested will get deported. Should I ask her for the money back she stole, or should I have her arrested? What approach do you suggest? She only stole 45 dollars but still..

In indesputeable truth of our American faith and devotion to God is a full frontal statue of Moses holding---what?--The Ten Commandments! Same ones so many interlopers on the American scene; who without alligence to our precepts, wish to attain success through the ethics that have brought our independence and established us as the greatest world power, yet--they wish to remove and have succeeded in many Court Houses across our nation to tear down reference to the commandments of God! Everything in Americas History is God, Christian, based in belief! All oathes are sworn on The Holy Bible.
James Madison, the fourth president of America, known as "The Father of Our Constitution" made the following statement:

"We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God. What say you?

I have been making a craft using downloaded images from the internet. Up until now they have been just gifts for friends. I've been thinking of selling them but am unsure how to check about copyright etc. Mostly they are old advertising images and celebritiy images. Any ideas, resources I could check?

I mean, they're not hurting anyone physically. They're taking THEIR OWN life, NOT someone else's. Why does the government have the right to stop someone who feels hopeless from killing themselves. And I don't want a religious "God has a plan for you" answer. I want a logical answer.

Rep. Tom Davis, the ranking Republican on the committee, said, "No process can be adopted to protect classified information that no one knows is classified. This looks to me more like a CIA problem than a White House problem."
Plame said she wasn't a lawyer and didn't know what her legal status was but said it shouldn't have mattered to the officials who learned her identity. "They all knew that I worked with the CIA," Plame said. "They might not have known what my status was but that alone — the fact that I worked for the CIA — should have put up a red flag."

Now hold on. I thought the White House "outed" her on purpose. Now it's "well, they may not have known I was an agent, but they should have."

So basically she admits that nobody in the White House purposefully made the fact she was covert public because they didn't know she was. Yet she charges them with that very same thing! Hmmm.... who's really out to ruin someone's career?
