About 10 years ago, we had a slab of concrete put down in the ramp before our driveway, so it wouldn't damage our cars with all the bumping. A lot of our neighbors have this. About a month ago a construction company (hired by the city) came in and repaved our neighborhood. In the process, with all there huge machines, they cracked our concrete ramp.
To my understanding, the city owns a certain part of one's yard (from the street into the yard a little bit). If I wish for this to be fixed, since the city broke an area that was (I think) owned by them, are they not entitled to fix this? I'm just wondering if I should pay for this, or if the city or the construction company is to pay for this.
Thanks for your time!
