Liguer kills WAY more people than weed does. Liquer makes people roudy and violent, it makes people do dangerous things, it is very harmfull to your liver, it is addictive, many children have been killed by drunk drivers, and many people have died of liver problems. Weed makes you calm, it is not half as dangerous to your health or too the health of people around you. Im not saying it should be legal, but if alchole is legal than so should weed, i mean how many times have you heard of a stoned driver killing somone or how many times have you heard of sombody dieing of smoking weed. It is almost impossible to overdose smokeing weed but it is very easy to overdose and die while using liquer. So why is weed illeagle but alcohole is not.

I was going 40 mph in a 35 mph zone (I live in Ohio) when a van turned left in front of me at a 4-way intersection. We each had a green light. The police officer handling the case cited the other people but their insurance company (state farm) say's they don't have to pay me anything because they have a deputy sherriff (off-duty at the time) that says "he thinks" I was doing twice the speed limit. (He was sitting still at the red light to the side) I have $25,000 in hosp. bills and my lawyer and insurance company aren't doing anything to help. So I'm trying to get some answers. (I only had liability on my vehicle)

I had a short relationship with a man and I became pregnant. Now, he denies paternity and I am trying to file for child support in Texas. I filed with his address, phone number, work address, date of birth, and I was contacted by the state and told that my case was closed due to lack of information on the father, they said they needed his social security number. Of course, he won't give it to me, cause he does not want to have to pay. What can I do? Should I contact a lawyer, or will they need his social also? Also, he has moved once and changed phone numbers twice trying to avoid me. Can't they get his social form his work? Thanks for the answers, and if you say something stupid I will report you.

My sister-in-law was in a custody battle with her ex-husband and DCS popped both of them with drug tests. She failed hers and he ran. needless to say neither of them got the kids (thank god) but my question is: What, if anything can DCS do to her for failing the drug test? are they legally able to turn her in since she is on house arrest? She's on house arrest for a drug felony and any failed tests would violate her probation with house arrest. does DCS have to tell her probation officer, or is the drug test confidential since her probation officer didnt personally administer it?

trust me, i'd like to see her locked up or in rehab, shes got a huge problem. i just dont know what all DCS is allowed to do.

this is in tennessee - she failed the drug test for DCS on the 18th of this month, the custody hearing was today and custody was awarded to the grandparents. she hasnt seen her p.o. because of presidents day and is scheduled to see her on the 25th. what, if anything, will happen?

I am writing a paper regarding hiring processes of companies, ex. Hooters, Abercrombie and Fitch, Hot Topic, etc (the employees look similar). I was wondering if they are "allowed" to hire based on attractiveness and/or looks, or if it is against EEOC. I looked at EEOC's regulations and found nothing for attractiveness/looks, only found national origin, race, etc. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm asking if anyone has had previous experience with this issue...hiring based on looks, being the employee or employer, and if you know if its listed under EEOC rules... thank you!

I was at a bar last Friday and I left without closing my tab. I looked at my bank statement today, and the charge for that particular bar was $17.00, when I only spent $4.00. I know the bartender closed out my tab himself, after adding a $13.00 tip and forging my signature. Can anything be dont about this? I don't have a receipt, as I left without closing my tab. It's only $13.00 but the bartender was a real jerk and he may have done this to other customers as well and I don't want him getting away with this.

Deferred Adjudication of a Felony - does that mean I'm still considered convicted? I've completed my probation, paid my fines, etc.
First Degree Felony for possession and distribution of a controlled substance. I was placed on deferred adjudication, all requirements were completed satisfactory and the deferred adjudication was terminated in July 2005. What this translates to:

Deferred adjudication is the deferral of a judgment against you for a charged criminal offense in the State of Texas. Basically, it is a plea bargain between the person accused and the court. During this probationary period the court withholds judgment. Once I completed the probation, the charges were dismissed and there is no conviction on my record although it does say that I was arrested, placed on deferred adjudication, and the probation terminated.

All that being said is this enough to not grant me access to Canada if I wanted to visit family and my fiance? (reside in Houston, Texas as a US Citizen)
