any one know how to contact someone in los Angeles over an identity theft claim.?

I have tried calling the district attorney office, and have got no answers, or the run around, the numbers the give me do not connect. I have two different agencies envolved each blaming the other. Im ready to scream. I live no where near LA.
im told there is an office of mistaken identity claims, but i can't find the # on the offical websites. i have tried calling the # they gave me several times, to no avail. any help would be great
