why is weed illeagle but liquer is not?

Liguer kills WAY more people than weed does. Liquer makes people roudy and violent, it makes people do dangerous things, it is very harmfull to your liver, it is addictive, many children have been killed by drunk drivers, and many people have died of liver problems. Weed makes you calm, it is not half as dangerous to your health or too the health of people around you. Im not saying it should be legal, but if alchole is legal than so should weed, i mean how many times have you heard of a stoned driver killing somone or how many times have you heard of sombody dieing of smoking weed. It is almost impossible to overdose smokeing weed but it is very easy to overdose and die while using liquer. So why is weed illeagle but alcohole is not.

It seems everyone can only make comments on my spelling because they have no logical way to win the argument, by the way i wrote this while drinking, and at no time did i try to offend anyone, so why is everyone getting so offensive.

I agree with all of your logical arguments. But politics is not about logic, it is about money.

So when you want to answer this sort of question, follow the money:

Liquor is relatively difficult to distill while weed grows easily pretty much anywhere. For that reason, big business can capitalize on liquor and government can tax the hell out of it, (while also pocketing large donations from the thriving liquor industry). Same goes for tobacco, which is also more detrimental to one's health than marijuana. The regulation and taxation of liquor and tobacco are easily achieved, whereas the same would not be true for marijuana. And in the case of legalizing pot for medicinal purposes, the pharmaceutical companies don't want to see that happen unless they can get a huge cut. They tried with the THC pills, but all patients agree the pills have nowhere near the medicinal properties of the herb that God mysteriously left growing all over the planet.

Depending where, weed is getting less criminal, and soon legal. I am writing this to you while being high by the way, pretty ironical. The thing is weed is like cigarettes, beer, coffee, energy drink* and other stuff that was illegal before but made legal later and the government usually tax those products. Just so you know, the brain acts to weed because the brain has receptor made SPECIALLY for detecting and absorbing THC ONLY. These receptors make more than HALF of ALL the receptors in the head. Not a coincidence buddy. So basically, they don't want to release it to the public because the political party that will do that will lose a lot of credit to people over 30 years old, thus losing the next elections. It's going to happen soon, but just gotta wait for those old people to die.

*: Most people don't know that Energy Drinks were illegal in many country until a few years ago because scientific researches proved that you cannot get addicted to that. Now it's legal in most countries and is heavily taxed, of course.

Forget the stoopid spell checker nonsense, I understand the question. The reasoning is bad is because it could be grown by anybody with a handful of dirt and smoked in a pipe.
No taxes for the Gummit, so it is bad. I do not think that any mind or physical altering substance should be just willy nilly legal and open for any to use at anytime, that would be kinda stoopid.
In private residence one should be permitted to drink,smoke or eat themselves to death,which is legal and we are very adept at that.
Alcohol or Liquor is legal because it stinks to make it, that is how the stills are found. So it can be controlled and then taxed for consumption. It kills lotsa people, and not just the users, it affects every one that gets within 10' of the abuser.
There is the rub, the abuser.
Some think that they have some control over the drugs or substances that they intake, but they are mistaken.If you can figure out a genetic way to make a pot plant stink bad or glow when it is growing, it would be legal,taxed and sold in stores on the morrow.
I use to smoke that stuff, never wrecked a car,threw up on a cop,died from using too much,beat my neighbor up sleep with his wife but I have seen Liquor affect rational judgment to that and beyond that point.
It is like all substances though, it can be abused to a point that makes the user seem irrational. Anything can do that. Some people obsess over another thing and someone makes up a word for it so it can be diagnosed and then drugged under control.
But that is legal.

Idk..people are stupid. I wonder why acid is illegal as well. Acid is one of the least-toxic substances known to man. Also it is non-addictive. It can give people positive life changing expereinces such as a spiritual awakening. I though the universe was meaningless until I used enthergenic substanes. It gave me a feeling of great connection and a 'oneness' with the universe. People just think things that are mind-altering are bad some 4 some reason. I mean i dont see what is wrong with weed as well. I mean alcohol kills many thro poisoning and Drunk driving. If u smoke grass with a vaporizer there are little negative effects.

I have never heard a good viable aurgument as to why it should be illegal. It angers me greatly that the government punishes people for smoking a plant. To those of you who had the "smoking makes you dumb" bs routine . . . some of the smartest people I have ever met smoked regularly including a close friend who has multiple master degrees and a former boss who was the CEO of a multi-million $$ company. Give it up . . . there IS no good reason for it being illegal, and it won't be for ever.

Weed is illegal because it makes u lose your ambition to...lets say go to college for a political science degree and then become a congressman and vote on legalizing it...just for instance

The kinda people that get wreck'd all day don't even get off their fat asses and vote....so until weed heads become a major voting block (like they are in Cali kinda), don't expect the non-weed heads to legalize it for u
