Pro lifer’s have made the case that because it’s legal, it’s not wrong to do so. That's great. I think I'll go cheat on my girlfriend now. It's legal, correct? So that makes it right? you're confusing legality with morality. There are lots of things that are legal that aren't really moral. It's perfectly legal for corporate america to ship your job overseas to save money on labor, but does that make it right? It was perfectly legal for the oil industry to continue to raise oil prices while also reaping record profits, but I bet you were one of those that screamed bloody murder and claimed a lack of ethics and moral sensibility was being practiced (all the while you went and filled up at the nearest gas station). It is immoral of business owners to legally oppose the rasing of minimum wage. And yet, it's moral for you to go ahead and kill human life because the Courts said it was legal. That's an interesting contradiction. It's even more interesting that science says biological life begins during prophase, the initial stage of mitosis. But the kicker is how the pro choicers scream that the pro lifers base their definition of life on their faith. Yet, many pro lifers cite the scientific argument of mitosis, just as I have. Pro choicers say that life begins at birth. Based on what? Faith? It certainly isn't science. Look, I'm not here to argue if you do or don't have the legal right to have an abortion. The Courts have ruled that you do. What I'm saying is that you don't have the moral right to do so, just as I don't have the moral authority to cheat on my girlfriend. To believe otherwise is only placating your own state of moral unconsciousness.

If these road tax charges go through, it will make the poll tax riot's seem like a school ground scrap. Are the government stupid enough to think we'll just accept and pay for anything they say?
As if we road users dont get burdend enough with all the other charges we have to fork out. If it carry's on the way it is, the only people who will be able to afford to drive will be lottery winners.
What next?
Pedestrian charges for walking on the pavements????

The power vaccum that Saddam left caused a large scale insurgency. The "removal" of the Taliban in Afghanistan resulted in similar turmoil.

If Governments around the world began to collapse (for any reason ; H5N1 , Nuclear war etc.) how would people cope without regulated Law Enforcement ?

It seems to me that caging people only makes them run faster when free. All things have a beginning and an end , I see the end of regulated Governments coming in my lifetime (I am 23).

Do you think that people would react the same as they do in these countries , and how would you act if you knew the country was in such turmoil that you could probably get away with anything ?

Right now I'm going through a paternity suit filed by the state against my son's father. They've given him ample opportunities to take paternity tests, but never showed up. Now it's going to court.
He's made it known that if he pays child support, he will seek visitation or partial custody.
He has an extensive criminal background including meth manufacturing/distribution (in 2 counties)and recently picked up domestic assault including felionous restraint and another assault case in another county. He's currently been order to complete Drug Court and to live in a rehibilitation house. I've been told that as long as he's doing what he's supposed to be doing, he will probably be granted visitation rights. However, my son is only one and I would at least like for him to be old enough to pick up the phone and be able to call someone if he's in trouble.
Anyone else experience any situation like this? Serious matter. No comments about my choice in men... he didn't use to be such a psycho:(

Okay, I was recently in a car wreck. I have been receiving many letters in the mail with personal injury lawyers trying to take my case. However, I have had many people tell me not to even bother go through a lawyer because they keep a large portion of your money and you receive a lot less than you really should. So, what do you think I should do....... cut out the middle man or not??? and if I do cut out the middle man.... how do I go about claiming my money for pain and suffering and time losted from work??

Has the school any right to detain me without reason?

I like to know my rights - so would that be right?
Could I just walk out?
