Hearing coming up 2/6, and child has been stoned, and drunk the last month now. She has not been taking her meds for bipolar, and on awol status. NO ONE is helping me. She comes home this morning at 5am and theres dried blood on her jacket. She's not bruised, but she's ran into a problem with some form of addiction. I'm in milwaukee, and if I call police to clear missing persons report, they just ask the formal, were you involved in a crime, were you assaulted, etc. (she'll lie) But she's in need of protective services because the drugs are going to kill her. I can't arrest her because I don't have a ground to keep her detained. What can I do? I've sent letter to judge, Probation and WrapAround, and no one can do anything. No one is calling me. I don't want to hear I'm sorry in the end, but I feel its coming to this if nothing is done. Any answers out here? Hurry

America is supposed to be the land of the free:
*Yet we are told how we can & can not dicipline our children
*We are told where we can & can not smoke
*We are told how many times as a parent we can keep our sick children home from school.
* We can be told what is ok for our children to wear to school
I see our freedoms being taken away from us day by day? Do you agree?

I am going to be 18 in 9 months, and my parents have made things extremly difficult for me. For example, I currently have a job, but no car. I dont have a car because, even though i have the money for the car and insurance, they refuse to let me buy one. This forces me to walk 5 miles across town to work. I have decided i am moving out with a friend when i am 18 and splitting the rent with him. My mother says there is no way she will let me leave. I will be in my senior year of highschool and she says she can keep me at the house untill i graduate. Is this possible? and if so, what should i do next? Thank you

I was just wondering why are people with dogs not understanding to other people feelings. Like the other day I was coming into my house and one of the neighbor had 2 pitbulls loose playing around while he was talking to friends. Now me I am terrified of dogs especially big dogs. I tried to act like I wasn't sfraid but when I saw the dog running up to me I had to go the other way.

Why do people do that? They act as if everyone like dogs and no one are afraid of them when in reality people are? I really hate big dogs I can't stand them. I had a bad experience when i was younger. I didn't get bitten but I am scarred by it. I understand people like them but I feel show some respect for others have your dog on a lease. Isn't that a law or something?
We had a problem like that once before but there were stry dogs running around my neighborhood and they took care of it. All I want is for them to be more considerate of others. What can I do? To tell you the truth I was about to call the cops

Until very recently I had newspapers delivered to my door however, due to a cash flow breakdown I defaulted on the payments. The person who runs the newsagents has told my neighbour (who I am on good terms with but not to the point of sharing my finances) about the existence of the debt, the amount owed and their intention to pursue the debt legally if I do not pay?

Is this not a breach of my rights under the Data Protection Act? Surely this is in no way keeping my records secure and can be seen as an unauthorised disclosure.

The thing is, though I always intended to settle this debt as soon as I could I feel that I may have grounds to ask for it to be reduced (I would never be presumptious enough to ask for it to be cancelled alltogether). Please could somebody advise me.

ok I'm looking for information on crimes and the most likely ages linked with the different crimes. e.g what age groups are more likely to commit an offence such as car theft? please if you know where I can find this kind of info let me know. I've tried things like crime statistics but this only shows how frequently the crimes were committed and not the age groups. This is for my college assignment and I'm running out of time fast so please help. x

Bought a pair of boots in the lk.bennett sale. not at all happy with them, actually thought there was a fault with the making of them. Worn them about 6-8 times, and felt they leaked, and the bottom of the sole was damp. I was not wading around in streams!Took them back, the manager agreed and saw there did seem to be problem, so she said she would have to send them to customer services. I left about 5 messages with C.S. with no response. Sent e-mails etc. Then yesterday i recieved a letter saying that there was no problem with them, and due to our findings we will not refund or exchange. Is this right? Can I get my money back?

It's very depressing. Suppose Yahoo did the same daily headline with abortion, would we tolerate it? It may read something like this:

"1,122 Babies Killed Today" or this

"Abortions Hit All Time High, Over 1 Million Killed Last Year"

or this,

"Stem Cells Needed, Pregnant Women Paid $$$ To Abort, Call 1-800-WENNEEYOURBABY"

What do you think? No threats please.

However they are not ready to open their mouth due to fear of their serivce. This what legal action i can take against the principal and management.

Hypothetically-
Your husband/wife's ex spouse passes away and the child/children are then fully raised for several years with the living spouse and his wife/ husband (who has been in the child's life since infancy). The husband/wife then passes away.

Do the biological grandparents or step-parent(who may or may not have other children) have more rights to raise the child?

This question is by no means a reflection on my believes on this subject (trying to keep that out of it) However- based on stats and discussions- It always seems that more men are pro-life vs. the women.

Why is that?

Why do the law restrict us kids to to get alcohol until the age of 21? Most countries only do so til we are 18 and some even 16. Its unfair! And besides there is no justification for preventing us to drink it out of free will if we do so in moderation. They say all citizens have a right to make own life choices and that kid got the same rights as adults as humans yet we are being treated unequal.
