This question is by no means a reflection on my believes on this subject (trying to keep that out of it) However- based on stats and discussions- It always seems that more men are pro-life vs. the women.

Why is that?

I've noticed when I'm driving and I come upon a car with an anti-abortion bumper sticker, and then I pass the car, it's almost always driven by a guy who's about 65. But I'm not sure why...perhaps women, even those who are anti-abortion, have an easier time grasping the gray areas like what to do when a girl is raped.

In all my life I have been able to get along with or stay friends with the girls I dated. Except one, she had an abortion (my child) and did not tell me till after it was over and she was in the hospital. I had no rights, no say in the decision. I would have gladly taken the child and to this day I cannot forgive her. I understand it is her body and I am not sure I agree with the Government deciding this issue with a law, but the father should have some rights in this issue.
I still feel that one of my kids was murdered.

(A) Men tend to be more vocal than women -- maybe women just aren't speaking up, either pro-choice or pro-life. Also, women who are pro-choice tend to be more politically liberal than women who are pro-life. Liberal women tend to be more outspoken than politically conservative women, so the liberal/pro-choice women are the ones you hear from and the conservative women are the ones who are quieter.*

(B) In general, men are less affected by having children than women are. This is especially true when women become pregnant outside of a stable long-term relationship. Because a woman's life will probably be altered more than a man's by having a baby, women may be more likely to support a pro-choice position.+

*Not all liberal women are vocal, and not all conservative women are quiet. This is just my general observation.

+I don't mean to suggest that a man's life won't change -- financially, as well as otherwise. I just think that a woman's life will change even MORE, financially and otherwise. Especially if she's a single mom.

Interesting discussion on this topic from my friend's blog: http://entomologiya.blogspot.com/2007/01/blogging-for-choice-day.html

A lot of cultures tell the males they have a RIGHT to stick it in and make babies, even if it involves rape. They try to justify this by saying it is the will of their god. I have never seen true proof of to support anti abortion claims. I have seen the results of many men raping a child of 12, sorry they needed to die and if needed, she should have an abortion if she so desired.

It's interesting that you say that because my opinion is completely the opposite where as I always see women protesting for pro-choice, and the whole mantra "my body, my choice". I really think it depends on how the media skews the view of who is doing the protesting and other such acts.

since men wouldn't be the ones to be pregnant, they tend to only see the side of the fetus, rather than sympathize with all the problems that the woman would suffer.

Women (even if they are too young or old to have children) on the other hand, can see themselves in the place of the pregnant woman -- they can mentally place themselves in the shoes of the woman and can grasp all the ramifications in the woman's life.

If men tried harder, and engaged their brains more in this, they would get it.

Because we don't get to choose. Our opinion is not taken into legal account even though the DNA is half ours. In essence we have no rights.

Where is our group to march in the streets?

they are "more" until it concerns them. If they are fathers, they are but too eager to get rid of the fetus, just not to be involved financially. When they are "pro-life", they are pro after some other people's children.
