Here's a decent link to a major part of the problem. Take notice of the percentage related to BCBS vs. Canada's entire administrative costs then multiply that the rest of our states and the lumps should be hitting the fan. My employer's pay over 4$ an hour towards my benefit package and although I am paying into the group coverage, I have no means to reap the benefits of all the combined monies I pay in--considering that once I am unemployed for one-quarter I am required to pay cash out of pocket (around 600$) per quarter in order to remain covered. All of us should stand together and write our legislators supporting the newly elected Democratic Congress future efforts to produce and pass a National health care plan!!!

My friend is concerned about these kids that live in Michigan. They're mother doesn't cook or clean, and the step father cares for them. The step father doesn't allow the kids to do their homework until the house is clean. The step-father drinks a lot, the parents fight all the time. Step-father took out the youngest daughter with him while he was drunk to a hotel because him and his wife got into a huge argument. The kids are forced to leave their keys behind when they go out of town, when they return, they have to wait sometimes an hour or longer to wait for one of them to return from home. The house is disgusting. Nobody cleans it, the 2 older children are barely home because it's so disgusting and the environment is not ideal for them to want to be there. There also isn't a house phone. IS that enough to do an investigation on the house?

In a Christmas cost cutting effort, I cut down a nice pine tree from my town green late last night. Now today there are little chipmunks in my house and some kind of weird moths scattering all over the place. I think some of the chipmunks even got in the walls!!! Is this something city hall is responsible for? The extermination costs?

Could anyone provide me with a reference to this act? Any additional comment would be highly appreciated.

I am 21. I had a juvenile record which I was told was expunged when I turned 18. I assumed this was true since I passed both a BCII and FBI background check last year to get my teaching certificate. I Googled myself yesterday and found that the entire judgment of my appeal is available in PDF from the Ohio State Supreme Court website. I don't believe it is appropriate for them to release that information to the public, whether the records were sealed or not, because it was a juvenile case and my identity should not have been released. I have contacted the juvenile court to start the expungement process. Should I sue the State Supreme Court to make them take that off the internet? What else can I do to get it removed and make sure it doesn't happen again?

He does not wish for the public to know just how many times he was visited by the Ken Lay's and Jack Abramoffs of the world. The press is particularily interested in who was in attendance at that secret energy meeting which created our National Energy Policy. Cheney is trying to invoke some kind of Executive Privelege--not gonna happen. There is no precedent. And if one is set here the outrage will be deafening. When Clinton was under suspicion they had no trouble getting the White House logs regarding Monica Lewinsky's visitations. Retarded Republican conspiracy debunkers need not reply...

This topic is really racking my brain the last 2 days after i learned that Kevorkian made the news. I myself think people should mind their own business. If they want to die, let them! Would you like to wake up in bed day after day not being able to move, and in a pool of your own feces, and urine? I would not! You also would put your loved ones through a long saga of sorrow seeing you like that. Its not like Kevorkian picked a name out of a hat everyday, and said "lets kill this one". Ive seen his HBO special, and he actually discussed the cases with his accociates before assisting in his or her suicide. He didnt help out just anybody. I think if people euthanasia was around when the bible was written, maybe things could of been different.

Looking for some law advice here, and if it would be possible for any employee to sue, if there is illegal activity going on here.

As far as i know, random drug testing is illegal (now) in Rhode Island. Drug testing is only allowed if a spedific employee is suspected of useing drugs due to job performance, or it is also allowed as part of pre-employment (i think).

here is what happened: the Hotel i was working for was sold and baught by a new company. There was an official "take over" as of Nov. 1. A few days before this we all filled out aplications, as well as other documents, to be "hired" by the new company, even though we were already working there, the same staff was kept, except for some that choose to leave (mostly bosses). For almost two months we were working under the new owners, and getting payed by them, new management replaced most of our bosses. so i would assume that due to this we would be considered employess of the new company, wouldnt you think? continued....

People get pills and other forms of narcotics to cope with there lives for depression or being over stimulated or what ever the reason is. Pot can be a mood enhancer, pain killer, stress releiver, and enables an increase in appetite for those who have no appetite. I have always wondered why marijuana is illegal.

I recently bought plane tickets from a friend of my grandmother who is a travel agent. She told me the price was $235 so I gave her my check card number. A couple days later, I checked my balance online and it was $25 less than it should have been. Upon checking the past purchases I noticed that this lady had taken $235 out then later that day she charged another $25. I called her to find out why she did this. She said it was her fee. i told her she didnt make me aware of this and I didnt authorize her to take the extra money out. She said there was nothing I could do. My question: what can I do about this? It isnt the $25 that bothers me its that she took it out without notifing me plus she is s friend of my grandmothers and tthey live in a small town in IA. Should I just suck it up and just not use her again or should I do something else to prove to her that what she did was wrong?

I understand that congress is trying to pass a bill taking citizen ship away from children born in the U.S. to illegal immigrants, so if citizen ship is taking away from them even though they were born in the U.S., so what country are they going to be citizens of? Its not the childs fault. I feel if they pass that law that there are going to be alot of confuse young adults in this world. I feel if they can take citizen ship from someone born in the U.S. then who is to say they want take my citizen ship away or my mothers, even though all our family was born and raised in the U.S. Help me understand this, please?

My caterer for my wedding did a horrible job, she breached the contract by not serving everything on the menu that we went over. She showed us pictures of how the set up would look and it wasnt anything like the pictures, it was very bare. The food was served cold and was not good . She is not not responsing to my emails and ha ssaid she will not compensate us for her mistakes. SHe has been very rude and unresponsive. We have the contract that she did not uphold, photos of the food as well as photos of her exapmles that dont look anything like what she showed us, the emails we sent her after the wedding as well as the one i received back when she blocked my email adress so i could no longer speak with her. I have been very nice and patient with her and she has continuely been rude. should i take her to small claims court and try to get a partial refund?
