medical marijuana patients in States with medical marijuana laws? Doesn't this violate the 10th Amendment of the Constitution?

I understand the Supreme Court's ruling on Raich vs. Ashcroft, but that mainly dealt with the effects on commerce (under Article 1 of the Constitution) when citizens grow their own marijuana.

would no longer be collected?

What specific law kept them to be continued to be collected beyond that 6 month date?

Was our govt so used to all that money rolling in that it was "impractible" for it to stop?

How in the world did our govt operate before the days of w/h taxes?

Somewhere I read that the govt was to operate using the monies collected from excise taxes, and I guess it did for a while, long, long time ago... There certainly wasn't any w/h taxes back then.

I have posted a similiar question before, but I wanted to ask again. What is your take on smoking? Do you think that people should be allowed to smoke? Do you agree with the taxation on cigarettes? Do you think smoking bans are consitutional? Is all the attention on smoking really going to make people quit smoking?

I am really interested in this because I am a smoker. I do believe in smokers rights, but I understand peoples concerns about smoking becasue i am not ignorant of the health effects. I wonder though, if a personnal choice like smoking can be so heavily regualted by the government, what stops them from eventually pulling support against something else that seems socially unfit. There are many things out there that people do that are unhealthy. What is going to stop the majority from wanting to regulate these rights in the same way that they have done smoking.

What are your thoughts.

When you are FORCED out of your job, couldn't that also be considered a "Constructive Dischargfe"?

I just asked a question re a boss who uses the "F" word incessantly. Let me clarifty. This is a Professional Office. There are 14 people under this man. He uses the "F" word to aggravate people. It is not a matter of "freedom of speech". He just likes to rub people the wrong way. (He is related to the manager of the company.) I'm no lawyer but I thought there was such a thing as "Constructive Discharge"
(Every morning,
"How the F are ya? Where's the f ing report I told you to have ready? this coffee tastes like f g dirt! Hey you. bring that f ng file here..f'g women are stupid and crybabies....did my f wife call?get your f g backside over here right now! and on and on.)
(Note: I told her to tape him)

Folks... I just got a new job. However, back in June I got a 17 thousand dollar raise at my old job. This raise was dramatic but I was hired at a very, very low rate. The raise brought me to 55k a year.

Today I get a call from my old boss. He said they made a mistake in payroll and I was being overpaid. They had me down in the system at 80K per year. I honestly did not know the difference in my checks because the raise was dramatic in the first place (17,000 more a year). Do I have to pay them this money back? Any information and/or legal advice would be appreciated

This went on for 6 months. The funniest part is that this company is a payroll company.

Lately I've been having lot of problem with few things such as getting doctor appointment, getting new identify card at DMV, registering for college, and other things.

I've had several appointments cancelled because the interpeteran didn't show up. Also I doesn't like to have a interpeteran at all! 8 out of 10 time they're someone who pass only basic sign lanaguage class and hardly can communication on complex level. Also they tend to mess up the consveration like this one time I ask the person who do all registrating thing at college "Will me being from Nevada affect anything?" My interpeteran was obiviously very confused and when she interpeter what the person answer was it turn out to be "We don't have any studying program in Canada" Of course I walk out.

Most interpeteran are a bunches of idiots with serious power trip and esteem issue who want to be savior for deaf world. They also act like if they have to hold my hand, hand feed me, and treat me like

a friend of mine borrowed money from me amounting to P3M. She issued a postdated checks, divided the amount into 4 checks. The first check is due on Dec. 15, but she asked me to extend the check. Since the check will be staled on Dec. 20, I'm worried that I won't be able to deposit the check anymore, since it is staled. What do you think is the best way for me to do, since she won't give me a new check in exchange for the old check that's going to be staled next month. I'm worried that she won't pay me.... The bank told me that check is good only for 6 months...how long would it take us if we're going to court? please help! any legal advice would be appreciated.

My friend got arrested about 29 days ago and transported to another state to go to jail and then in front of a judge because that is where the crime happened. They said he had a right to a speedy trial but i don't think they have sentenced him or whatever yet. Is there an average amount of time? I know this is a weird question, lol.

I did lots of research regarding gay marriage and there isn't a single fabric of logical document that says it's wrong. It doesn't outlaw it in the constitution. In fact, in the constitution, it says all are equal and all are to have equal rights. So, in respect, denying someone to marry based on their orientation is ILLEGAL and goes against the laws the founding fathers planned out for the country.

If the Bible says it's wrong, then that's irrelevant. We're supposed to have separation of Church and State in this country. This is called the Establishment Clause.

So why can't gays get married? They have every right to. Why can't they?
