I am a property owner and up till now, I have been happy to rent the property out. However, I have decided to turn it into a place where women can go to after drug rehab or after exiting corrections. I no longer want it to be a rental. I want it to be acknowledged as a recovery home for young women seeking assistance. How do I legitimately declare it a House of Recovery. Who do I notify of this and how?

I've been thinkin a lot about this since saddam was sentenced. Is it wrong or is it right? And is it justice? Is it actually a worse punishment than life in prison? Your thoughts!

I know this may seem obvious or easonably clear, maybe, a deviant from the norm, but what is the norm?

Anyrate, under the new Mental Health Act proposals, people can be locked up without trial for such deviancy. Not just lewdness like in the days of Oscar Wilde, but anything that is not PC.

There is not nothing to stop Catholics or other religious organisations infilitrating the NHS in the mind control regime of Tony Blair's Police State. Promiscuity is also proscribed as treatable (nobody has ever been cured of mental health problems, except by death).

Am executor of Mom's will, she left $4000 Brother and I split services cost,I paid remainiing bills from my money so that he would have some "inheritance" from the estate. Otherwise, he would have been left with nothing. Will states he was left the estate because Mom gave me money before, and mentions that "other considerations" were made for me.There is an insurance policy and an annuity listing me as beneficiary, one annuity that lists us as co-beneficiaries, and one annuity that lists him as beneficiary. He claims all of it, saying Mom meant to leave it to him because she gave me $ years before. He says she meant for it to pay for services, or she thought the will would override the beneficiaries. Dates on these policies predate the will. He wants it all. He paid for more than we agreed on (like plane ticket for son) mentions how little he got, mentions gas to drive here. What is "estate" What should I give him? Please help.

I know you people like to guess the motive behind these questions, i'm going to tell you straight up it is hypothetical (im not even a film-maker,dont know a thing about it) so can all the do-gooders please keep their theories to themselves and those with brains read on;

Suppose a person making their own film decided to make one which included what looked like animal cruelty.
It might cause controversy. If someone thought it was real and reported it (somewhere?) could the film..person be investigated?

How would someone be able to prove that it was just clever camera work or something like that?
Suppose you used what appeared to be a metal pole to beat a dog. A prop.
This film could be around for years, long after the prop is gone, so how would you prove it in that case without the prop?

Or I even ask what are the legal issues, if any, if you used parts of a clip showing actual cruelity. This is not concerning copyright- would you have to prove you didn't make the beating?

I ordered a computer via a major e-commerce and shopping channel retailer by accident.(I hit a speed buy button instead of the return to list button). I immediately canceled my order and the accounts page verified that My order was canceled. I was never charged for the item, but around 2 weeks later my wife get a package via Fedex. I open it and it is a computer.

I called the retailer about it and they seemed not to know what I was talking about. Now approx 30 days after receiving the computer the retailer calls and said either I return the computer or get billed for it. They said if I return it they will pay for shipping, but I will have to package it and they recommended I get insurance for it because I would be liable for any damage that occurs during shipping or may have already occured. I do not have the original packaging any more, but they indicated they would not be responsible for providing that to me. If I keep it what am I liable for?

I'm asking because I play an online game that is clearly recording everything I say, but in their policy they clearly do not consent to being recorded themselves.

"(h) ***** does not consent to or authorize any recording or reproduction of any communications with you. You may not record, reproduce or publish any communication with *****. In addition to any other rights or remedies that ***** may have, you may also be subject to criminal and civil sanctions and fines."

But by not consenting, don't they revoke their right to record me, even if they make me agree to be recorded when I sign up?

I work for a company that borrows cars from people to do test fits for the aftermarket parts we design and manufacture. I was moving a car lent to my company after hours to do some work on my car in the garage and I hit the car giving it a scratch. My company was paying for all accidents of this sort, but my boss got fed up with my accident and is telling me I have to pay for the repairs. I want to know, in California, who the law says is liable, the company or me, and what law applies here. Thanks
