i live in houston texas, in an area where firecrackers are permitted on certain holidays. on independence day and new years eve are the only 2 days of the year where people can fire up their firecrackers and fireworks. when my neighbors or even anybody in the city limit who are playing firecrackers that special night, can i shoot my handgun at cans and bottles for target practice in my backyard? that way i can save myself $7 from going to the shooting range. is there any difference in the sound of the noise that the 2 of them make? is the gun shot louder? i mean, people are going to constantly play their fireworks all night long and it wouldnt make a difference for me to take a couple shots would it? if it is not permitted or is prohibited, would the police still make a big deal out of it? if so, what is the penalty? if prison, then how long? if ticket, then how much?

My family and I are recovering from an incident that happened six months ago. Everything is working out good. I have been taking D.V. classes and going to counseling.
I am I good man who made a huge mistake and I think that is why my soon to be wife wants to work this out. Can the D.A. still go after me even if the victim does not want to testify and has not been in contact with the D.A. and she has not been served at all? She does not want me to go to prison, we want to keep our family together and it seems as if the D.A. does not care about that. I truly think people can change.

I received a notice from these people due to an "anonymous" individual who reported my vehicle for emitting excessive smoke. Puh-lease. This is Los Angeles, you think by reporting my little BMW is going to save the World!!!! Who are these people? And don't they have better things to do?

BTW, it was 8 in the morning, it was cold, my engine was warm from a new oil change, and it was naturally burning oil. I just find it amusing, that with all the scum in this city, these people think that with ridding my car from that days "excessive smoke", will help better rid the world of cancer???!!!!

Get a life! And kiss my @$$

Thank you!

I got a "too fast for conditions" speeding ticket but I was actually driving 15 under the posted limit... there's no way to prove my actual speed... but I think the ticket is bogus. Should I hire someone to represent me?

For the past couple of days it appears that someone may have entered my home in my absence. There has been no break-in, nothing taken, moved or dislodged in any way - however, my interior porch door (which I specifically never close!) was firmly shut upon my return....Two nights running! My boyfriend went away to the other side of the country on saturday morning and is away for a week - so definitely wasn't him!
Verdicts please....

I posted a question and it was misread.
Equal rights for gays should include living without fear, should be living and being able to choose there partner, having excess to inhertiance of there joint estate, having access to visit in the hospital and other basic human rights enjoyed by straight couples.
(is this special rights or equal rights)

My husband has been served with a paternity suit. Twelve years ago, the plaintiff gave birth to a child and her boyfriend was named as the father, ordered to pay child support, etc. In 2002, he took a DNA test proving he was not the father and the judgement was set aside. Now, my husband is being summoned. Should we even hire a lawyer or is this a case he will lose? What options do we have? I thought there was a limitation on paternity especially since another was named on the birth certificate and paid support for so long, how did this individual get out of his responsibility. If my husband is the father and a child support judgement is entered, should we transfer all assets to me in order to protect ourselves? Thank you, I appreciate any feedback.

My daughter is renting a house in Umina NSW and has no working smoke alarms. She has been in the house since January this year. My grand-daughter lives with her and the real estat agent said they would fix them but still nothing has been done. I know there are penalties so can somebody please tell me what they are and I will ring them myself as this is getting beyond a joke.

at 25% for a car he had that was repossesed back in 2004. He told me that someone told him that they have no right in garnishing his wages for something he no longer posseses. They took the car, sold it on an auction, now they want $14,000. He only had the car for less than a year. Is this even legal? If so, what can he do? He's in the state of California.

John Buchanan (investigative Journalist) searched through the U.S. National Archives and The Library of Congress. What he found, he calls, proof that Prescott Bush (Pres. G.W. Bush's grandfather) was a Nazi supporter who should have been tried for Treason.

According to the McCormack Dickstein Committee of Nov. 1934; Prescott Bush, The DuPont Family, The Remington Family, and J.P. Morgan tried to overthrow the U.S. Government by trying to assassinate Pres. F.D.R.: Their goal was to put a Hitler style fascist state in place.

They planned to use Hitler's Nazi model to impose Marshal Law, on the United States: Then planned to roundup the unemployed, trouble makers, and Jews and put them into internment camps. If necessary, they were prepared to exterminate those who would not participate in their effort.

After the coup failed, Union Bank was liquefied and incredibly Prescott Bush received $1.5 Million for his Nazi Holdings.
