Well ... though most of us have an illusion that morality and ethics have strted to die out in the field of business ( Imyself used to think that earlier ! ) , yet there is evidence that those companies who have a well defined ethical code for their employees as well as fir the customers are successful to form a good "public image", which proves to be instrumental in boosting up a company's profit. There is also statistical data available on that. I know all this now cuz recently i had a chance to give presentation on business ethics in college and for that i had to do extensive " research" . So the verdict my friend is ... there still is room for ethics and morality in business world ..( though the intention behind the same may not be genuine ) ...

Business always works on reputation and trust . if a businessman has no ethics or moral values than he cannot stay in the market place . So i think that if one does not have them then he cannot stay and grow in a business world .

Let's just hope for it. Current trend of consumption driven economics do not seem to leave much room for ethics. But there are also individuals and entities who have long term goals. They'll eventually dominate the market building a strong loyalty.

yes, either one should accept it or not. but some where everyone follows the ethics and morality. without this our buisness will be alive but not lively . to keep it lively and bloosoming alwys we need ehics as they told us that how to deal with the new coustomers and also with the other parts of the business. they tell us the value of corporation and the way to work. how to remain humble but should maintain dignity also. without it no business can flourish. the one who says like this is a great liar

Absolutely! My husband and I have owned and operated a business for seven years and we operate in an ethical and moral manner -- our business is successful. We have a few business associates who do hold themselves to high standards as well.

Of course there is. This seems like a foolish question.
There are millions of companies in the US. just because there were serious poblems ina couple dozen does not meen that ethics in business has died.

there is always a place for them...unfortunately if ethics and morality showed themselves they would be shot and stomped into the dirt like the dogs they are....it seems where I work its getting worse everyday...the bosses want the workers to strip the floors by hand using a small scrub brush...there is no god...

Yes. Ethical companies last. Unethical companies go under.
Perhaps this question should be posed to governments instead.

if you or the owner want ethics and morality to have a space in your business you can do so, its more about willingness on your part and the people inside the establishment,

absolutely!
It's the managers who are caught doing dishonest things that end up in scandal. Look at what lack of ethics did to Enron.
