If I call someone a name, like a 'poo poo head', is that slander?

I understand if i call someone like 'a theif' and their is no evidence to support it, it is slander.

But is an opinion on ones character slander? If the above is slander, then if i worded it as, "I think you are a poo poo head", would that no longer be slander?

Thanks.

I am getting my drivers permit and we got a slip for our parents to sign to be an organ donor. It is our body so why should we need our parents permission to decide what happens to our body when we die? It seems kind of unfair.

Does everyone have rights? Like even kids under 18. I couldve sworn that everyone has the freedom of speech and things as such. Who has the rights? Only people above 18?

I called the police for assistence with a relative of mine that shot my car five times because he wanted a ride to his vehical from my house. I was not ready to go because I had to take care of some paperwork before I left. So I told him if he needed to go that quickly he could start walking. He walked past my car and shot it five times and kept on walking. The police came and I spoke with them and they saw the car and went to go find my cousin to return and make a report. When they returned I walked out expecting to make a report but I got arrested because my cousin said I had assaulted him with a .44 mag. pistole. When we were being booked at jail. They sat him right next to me and I was cuffed to the chair and he was not. He was constantly badgering me and insulting me while booking officers did nothing. So I turned to him and he turned to make another insulting remark and I spit on his face. Now he filed charges for battery.

Nick Griffin and Mark Collet

The CPS has said that it wishes both cases to be retried; as well it might consider the enormous amount of money expended so far. West Yorkshire police proudly announced that they had a team of officers working on the case “five days a week, 10 hours a day”.

The police have become political
The jury, to come to a verdict, must draw form their own political views.

The police and the government have worked together, to put forward a prosecution case

Is this wrong
should we have anpublic enquiry into the police and government re this

I mean, there's no real point in defending a person who everyone knows committed a crime because they've seen the evidence or actually saw him do it.

IF we are to believe the teachings of the Old and New Testament that our lives are mapped out for each and every one of us before we are born, and God is all-knowing and all-seeing, can God be found to be guilty of "aiding and abetting"?

By way of added information, I include info of a 2001 film - Man who sued God - a film in which a lawyer characters' boat was struck by lightening and the Insurance refused to pay up due to "Act of God"; because one can't "sue God" he sued the Church instead "as His representative.

We are taught the teachings by the Clergy from an early age, so, can the theory of a story be put into practise in the real world today in the 21st Century?

Is that true? I guess personal privacy means nothing to some, and don't most people want privacy when in the bathroom, or are they hiding something?

Most pro-choicers say its their(woman's) body, their chocie... along with it has nothing to do with government, or for people who just think its wrong "if you dont like abortion, don't get one" right?....

Well riddle me this... The 16 year olds that don't tell their parents or even over 18s with no husband or job go to the clinic and can get an abortion for free... Oh but wait... its not free, the government picks up the tab using our taxes!!! Now it is our problem, it does effect us. Now its back to being a political issue. (Most) republicans would say something to the effect of "we will use your taxes to support single mothers and we won't use your taxes to kill children." (Most) democrats would say something to the effect of "we believe that its not wrong to abort an undeveloped fetus and we will give 'X' % of your taxes to clinics to help women in want or need of an abortion."

Am I making any sence people? Give me your thoughts on this arguement.

Horacio Alberto Reyes was sentenced to death in 1996 for stabbing to death a girl and giving another girl 17 stab wounds. While in prision in Oregon, his kidneys began to fail so they put him on dialysis costing the taxpayers $120,000 per year. They decided to give him an organ transplant. However he failed the medical requirements, but do you think this was the right thing to do? Was this fair?

Where's the separation of church and state, here! Come on people, get with the program. Let's make our society truly secular and give up on trying to distinguish between so-called 'good' and 'evil'...!

What is your opinion?
Do you think convicts should recieve the same medical treatment as anyone else? Who should pay for this?
Should the severity of the crime determine what level of medical treatment a criminal recieves?

Yahoo and their petty violations are beating me down. I didn't read anywhere in the "terms" where Yahoo was allowed to harass people without recourse. I'm going on public record as of this moment that I feel violated. My freedom of speech has been taken away from me. The indiscriminate slaps on the wrist have to stop. Yahoo needs to rethink their polcies.

The story... I was in an Asian mans corner shop buying milk and bread along with the paper and I saw a black guy put something under his jacket... he looked very suspicious so I told the asian shop keeper I thought the black guy was trying to steal something...
When the asian shop keepers son approached him he panicked and tried to run.. he was restrained and the shop keeper called the police. In the struggle he dropped a packet of cadburys chocolate fingers from under his coat which we all saw. Then the police arrived and he was questioned. He said I lied and I was racist because he was black and I was picking on him....
It turned out he was realeased later that night without charge.... my question is... Am I racist for dobbing him in? and how come he can say that and virtually get off scott free.... it's no wonder there are so many criminals about when they are simply cautioned..

Here's my dilema - I've worked with a guy at my company for a few years now. He is really cool, well liked and just an all around nice guy. Recently, I took a look at the Megan's Law website and was shocked to find my co-worker's picture and charges listed on the site! I couldn't believe it when I saw it but it's definately him. He was charged (after he was hired at the company) with "Sexual Molestation of a Child". This disgusts me and I look at him in a totally different way. Should I tell management or maybe send an anonymous e-mail? I think child molesters are scum of the earth. My mother was molested by an Uncle when she was small and she has harbored scars most of her life because of it. I feel like I want to make everybody at work know what he did but I know if I do, it will really mess his life up. But on the other hand, he messed some innocent child's life up too. What are the laws regarding this? What would you do? Thanks!
