1. Vigorously challenge the reliability or credibility of a rape victim on cross-examination when the defense attorney knows that the woman has testified truthfully.

2. Put his or her client to the stand knowing that the client intends to lie.

3. Advise a client regarding potential defenses to a crime before finding out the facts of the case even though this may lead the client to lie about the facts so as to take advantage of one of the described defenses (e.g., the Jimmy Stewart scenario from Anatomy of a Murder).

My daughter has a severe immune deficiency syndrome. She has applied for SSI, went through the beginning paperwork, etc. She waited for months, then got an appointment and went through the required physical examination about 4 months ago, and since that time there has not been any notification of their decision or what comes next. Is there a standard time limit before they are required to give her an answer? I could not find anything on the SSI government website.

[This is for a short story I'm writing and I cannot find any specific information on this.]
Here the scenario: A person has a warrant out for his arrest. The person is, say pulled over while driving, could his passenger, who doesn't know about the warrant get in any type of trouble? Or if the person with the warrant is at someone else's house & is found there..? Thanks for any help you can give.

My sister-in-law's husband forged one of her checks. The checking account is in her name only. He was caught and charged with forgery and is awaiting trial. She was named as the complaintant in the case. She has been asked to testify for the prosecution against her husband. She says she can use the husband/wife confidential privilege and not testify against him. I heard this can't be used if the crime is against the spouse, which it was since it was her check. The check cashing agency is also listed as a complaintant. Needless to say she is still with this loser and wants to defend him to the end. Doesn't she have to testify if asked?

My son, who has never been in trouble with the police before has been charged with 'assisting a murder'. He was with a group of people when one of his 'friends' suddenly pulled out a weapon and stabbed somebody. The solicitor in charge is a waste of space and i am desperate to find a better one quickly. I don't want to pull a number out of the Yellow Pages. I need a reputable, can anybody tell me where to start looking or recommend me one please?
