I have a neighbor w/ an adult son who is profoundly retarded. He is not a child. The man is dd and nonverbal. He has a tendency to run in random directions so his mother holds onto him and drags him around by the arm so he doesnt take off. He always smells like pee. Always. She brings him outside on cold days in shorts and barefoot. Often she makes him sit in the mud while she talks to friends outside. He sits and eats dirt or bangs his head while she talks and she ignores it.Their house smells real bad like pee because everything has been soaked. Often he has dried fecal matter all down his legs or up his back. The man has a very bad skin infection from chewing on his hands. His teeth are rotten. His mom always begs for food and tells me he's hungry. I give them food everytime they come begging.
Am I being too critical? Is all this because of his disability or is it neglect? who would I talk to about my concerns? is there an agency or something? should I mind my own busines

For some reason, it always irks me whenever I'm in a restaraunt and someone blows their nose while at their table. It always seems to happen and I view it as poor manners. Anyways, a few years back I finally got fed up enough that I started throwing things at whoever was blowing their nose. Usually what I throw ends up being a dinner roll, but there have been times when the items thrown have consisted of salt shakers and other heavy objects. My aim is quite good and I have no problem striking someone from several tables distant.

Most of the time, the recipient of my wrath is just stunned and has no idea who threw the object. Sometimes it has resulted in outbursts where the target will start yelling at everyone around. In the extreme few cases, it has resulted in me fighting some nimrod out in the parking lot. Anyways, this sort of action has never involved the police, yet, and seems to have resulted in fewer people blowing their noses at tables in my area. Should I continue?

Ok, I've been with my wife & her son since he was 4 years old. She left his abusive father when he was an infant, so he has never known his "real" Dad. She was collecting child support fron him, but he stopped paying it. She has no idea where he is, or how to find him. He owes well over $20,000 and it continues to grow. She has 2 state angienies working on this. Her son has grown to call me Dad, and I love this kid to death. He just turned 11 and started at a new school. When he came home the other day, he said some kids wondered why he had different last name than his Mom & "Dad". I told him if wanted the same last name as me, I would have to adopt him. He is all for the idea. My questions are: 1. Where do I start the adoption process, and 2. How will this affect the past due child support? We no longer need/want the continued monthly payments, just the back past due owed. We currently live in New Jersey. Thanks for your help.

This was a non violent crime and I had never been in jail before. I served my sentence until I was discharged. I am not on parole and I have paid my fines and court costs. Now, that I have a NEW LABEL in life - I'm a felon. I have a Masters degree I can not use and I don't have a life of crime to fall back on. Why must I be punished everyday of my life, or until it can be taken off my record in six more years, but until then I have to survive. I have student loans to pay off and I'm a single parent of one child. I live in a small town and can't even get a job at the convienent store because of my felony charge. I know I live in a back asswards state of Oklahoma where prison is our industry as in Texas, but how long should I pay for my debt? I did the crime and did the time... but everyday looking for a job and hearing the word No is not putting food on the table. Go to the same state and get help (food stamps, etc.) It just doesn't make sense to me, can I hear a good word about this?

I was in a auto accident back in May. I was rear ended the other person at fault. I went to the er that day for back pain, then again on the 1st, i have been to the doctors 3 times, referred to see a chiro, that didn't help so they scheduled me a mri. after reviewing that they now have me in physical therapy. My medical bills without the chiro and p.t. is around $9000. how much is a fair settlement?

I mean above 85 dc for at least 4 hrs in a place where you have to shout to communicate with guests. I am particularly interested in Canada? I know that above 85dc causes damage -- there is legislation for factories etc, but why is music not considered to have the same detrimental effects at very loud levels?

Do you know where I am living?
in the country of death, In Iran. According to it's law I must be killed because I'm not a Muslim,
Now i'm not using my official e-mail, because if they find out that who I am, they surely will hang me, According to their law with no trial.
The only hope of my friend and I is America's attack.
Even our families believe that we are untouchable, and the only persons who know our idea's(our closest friends) are also insulting us too much.
they control the computers of our university, and I hope that they don't discover who I am. If so...
I want some persons to help me....
I have chosen the path of my life... I am thinking about revenging...
can you help me?

Just wondering this as if we are so clever, why cant we just discuss issues, instead bombing the answer out of countries,, or enforcing our point of views on them.

My landlord said I cannot have viswitors to my apartment after 10PM I live on the ground floor of an open building. My door opens on the sidewalk. Police have never been called about noise or any other disturbance at my apartment.I live in Waikiki Beach, work in a restaurant as do all my friends and we get home late so we entertain late. Does he have the right to do this
He claims its for security but we have no security guards,no locked gates,no entry system in place.I pay rent, I feel I should be able to enjoy my home anytime I want.
Also, I was an apartment manager for 18 years and have only heard of this in closed rental units,ie;halfway houses, shelters etc...

Does anyone know when he goes back to court or if he already has?

I moved into an apartment 6 months ago with roomie. I am recently seperated and had many friends over, I found out the the managers had discussed my sex life with other tenants. I brushed it off and about a month later got a "quit premise" "Dist. Peace" it all bull and the complainer is know for constant complaints and crazy behavior. ie. Someone is on the roof picking tar make them stop. But since manager personal doesn't like me (I guess) she is try to take away my home. I was also mislead at lease signing to believe all walls where made of concrete, which they are not in the ONE apartment I got, only everyone elses. I will win eviction hearing tomorrow, but I was thinking of with holding rent to see if they evict based on that, but single me out, allowing all other late renter to stay put, what will that prove? I'm white and not openly Bi, but I'm clearly the victim of person dislike based on nothing, ythe managers don't even talk to me when I get complaints. HELP PS. Should I move?

my father who passed in 1965 put provisions in his trust that called for distributions in times of bad health, bad financial luck, homelessness, education or any other concerns in this area.
I'm 61 and disabled in a foster home in hawaii and still can get no help even though there's a substantial amount of money in the trust which my mothe controls.. she is quite senile and in a home and my 2 brothers and 1 sister refuse to speak to me . I fear they are trying to siphon off the money before my mother dies to leave me with no avenue for reparations...
