You would have to get the licence before your other one is suspended. Which means you would have to move to that state (or find some way to claim residency) You still would not be able to drive in the state your licence is suspended in, even with your new licence.

You used to be able to but not any more. All their computers are linked. One run of your social and everything on you comes up. A bit of advice, if you have warrants, DO NOT go to a reinstatement office, they will arrest you on the spot.

Not all DMV's are connected to other DMV offices in all states.
I don't know why, but there are some, and how you would go about finding this out, is beyond me. Sorry !

BEFORE 9/11 ENOUGH STATES DID NOT HAVE THEIR SYSTEMS CONNECTED.SO IT WAS EASIER TO MOVE FROM STATE TO STATE AND CHANGE LICENSES WITHOUT YOUR PAST FF YOU.TODAY THERE IS ZIP
