Someone is convicted of a crime and serving the sentence but gets accused doing another criminal activities while in prison and presume to be guilty of that crime without proper investigation. Would this person need a federal appointed public attorney to represent him, if not, what can be done....

In simplest words, please! All I've been able to find are long, complecated answers. I really don't understand what it means.

Here's a hypothetical:

"Lucy" drives a very large, high van for a wheelchair bound woman, "Martha." Lucy and Martha go out for dinner one evening. Martha has to use the restroom before leaving, so Lucy goes outside to the van. It is not parked in a handicapped spot because they were all full when they got to the restaurant.

Lucy lowers the lift, which is approximately 1 1/2 - 2" thick. When she lowers it, it becomes almost flush with the ground, and is now resting in the adjacent parking space. Lucy doesn't want any bugs in the car, so she closes up the van doors and goes and sits in the front of the van. There are no console lights on, nor are the headlights on. MORE..

My sister in law who was 19 at the time was duped into co-signing a mortage for her parents. Now she's 20 and wants to leave and get her own place, but can't because her credit is tied up with the house that her parents live in. What can she do? Is bankruptcy her only out?
Her parents won't agree to let her sign over the house to them, because they dont' want to refinance it in their names...(bad credit) Any thoughts?

This is actually for a friend. She went to court for driving on a suspended license, they put her on 6 months probation, gave her a fine, and told her to do 2 days community service. Now its been 5 months and she has paid her fine but didn't do the community service. She got a letter saying she violated her probation and has to go to court(which is tomorrow, Tues.). Whats going to happen to her? Any help would be great.

A repair man makes a faulty repair on the foundation of a leaking basement. The basement is still leaking. The repair man was called to come back and repair it; he said he would not be able to make it until a few days later (i.e. until the check is cashed). The check is placed on "stop pay" until the work can be fixed. The repair man does not show the day he said he would come back to fix it. He never again calls to reschedule. Then he calls more than a week later to say he is placing a lien on the house because of non-payment. What can I do?

Here's the newest of the news. This is a case where parents are suing the video game company saying their child never would have killed anyone had it not been for him playing this particular game. Here's the link to the news article: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060925/ap_on_re_us/ranch_killings_video_game_suit

In my honest opinion, I think the parents are as much to blame if not more than anyone else for letting their child play the game. What do you think?
