This is actually for a friend. She went to court for driving on a suspended license, they put her on 6 months probation, gave her a fine, and told her to do 2 days community service. Now its been 5 months and she has paid her fine but didn't do the community service. She got a letter saying she violated her probation and has to go to court(which is tomorrow, Tues.). Whats going to happen to her? Any help would be great.

Jails are over crowded now to the point they are releasing crooks. Expect to be put on the trash picking crew as community service. In NJ they have a bus load out cleaning trash off the highways.

Jail is a possibility, but if she can satisfy the court that she will complete the conditions of her probation, she may get off with an amended sentence. Such as an additional fine, &/or additional community service. The courts like to show violators that they mean business.

definite. in case your license is suspended and your serving a probation violation for DUI. The officer can arrest you for breaking your probation. After that ii is as a lot because the opt to both serve something of your probation or position you in penal complex to serve something of your sentence.

Tell her not to tell a big lie, courts dont like that; she can say she was a little confused, its her fault, and that she would like to do the community service immediately. Also, make certain she dresses conserviely

Good Luck

depends on the judge. tell her to show alot of remorse and if she has no major priors she may just get alot more community service and extended probation. tell her not to keep screwing up, its not that hard.
