When you say "it's been rough" dating this guy, what does that mean? Something is very wrong if a relationship is rough. And you are only 14 so you need to understand your idea of love is rather short. Love doesn't mean you are with someone who would do you wrong in any way or causes problems.

Your parents have the right to stop him from coming over if they choose. A restraining order, depending on your state, is possible by your age. By that I mean, if he is 16 and in your state considered committing statitory rape, then your parents have the right to keep him away.

I suggest you talk to a counselor about this, that way you have someone who is non-biased and can discuss your relationship with this guy to see if he really is good for you. You need to respect yourself. Take care of yourself. Understand you are very young and this guy will not be in your life forever, I can guarantee that. You are both just beginning to learn about life and love.

well, depending on what state you live in and what that state considers "age of consent" your parents can do more than just file a restraining order on him. Some states say that 16 years is of the age of consent. If you live in one of these states, they could actually file statutory charges against him.

Sad to say, but even if this isn't the case where you live, your parents have every right to say who you can or cannot see. As long as they are feeding, clothing and sheltering you it is house rules. Their house, their rules.

Perhaps because they see things that you don't. Parents know when someone is not good for their child. You think like a 14 year old. At 14 do you really think that you know what love is?

I think you are a little too young to be dating, you've got a lot of time ahead of you anyways. Plus I usually put family above others, and do you really want to break up a family just because you think you two are perfect for each other?

do you want your parents to ignore you or neglect you? you should appreciate why your parents are responding like that for you. No b/f is worth the trouble. And if I can speak for every one get you education fisrt, even if you are going to school after 18 years of age, keeping your boyfriend at 16 years of age? , believe me, after he turns 18 years of age HE will find some one else

not until he is eighteen, then they can. I've been dating the same guy since i was fifteen, now i'm twenty-one. He was eighteen when I met him and we are still together, so don't let anyone tell you that you are too young or that it's not right just because of age.

You better stop talking about what you don't know very well and concentrate on your studies. You are still under parental care,so you should better listen to your parents.

Grow up, in a few years you'll probably realize he was a bum to begin with and your parents were right.

Your parents can restrain YOU, just by saying so. Until you are eighteen, they own you. They can forbid you from seeing anyone, doing anything, or going anywhere. You are their property. If they don't want that dirtbag diddling their property, that is their right.

BTW, you have no rights.
