BBC is here for years and Google is just a recent phenomena. I would definitely trust the BBC for its authenticity and news coverage. However, the comparison is not a valid because both have different fields of mastery.

I enjoy the heck out of the BBC and as an American it is a nice refreshing change from US news. My first exposure to the BBC was in the middle-east and then on my trips to Britain of course.
They provide a wide variety of international news, understandably heavy on India.
As for Google....Internet news is Internet news.

The BBC is quite Anti-Bush and not particularly fond of the US in general, I do watch their broadcasts on occasion just to get the different perspective.
And what about Google? I really had not put much thought into it but I have noticed a anti-Bush slant as well. Again though, I always do research and get different perspectives anyway...

i like the bbc. it's a different perspective. not so heavily influenced from american commercialism. i don't really get the google comparison since google is merely a search engine and doesn't generate it's own news.
