I am having a SERIOUS problom with my landlord. We have a vermin problom in the house, and I believe it to be because we have no screens up on the windows. I have researched the Warranty of habitability codes and have not found enough evidence to prove that this is in fact his responsibility....anyone??

Would you vote for a lesser penalty fo petty Marijuana possession?
I'm not talking about decriminalizing marijuana, but marijuana possession in small amounts would not result with jail time and the loss of scholarships and federal financial aid for students, but instead would be a large fine. A lesser penalty and still illegal.

Two questions here really. I've had to file a lawsuit against a client as I am owed a substantial amount for work done and no payment has been made. We started with no contract and did a general contract just a few months ago but contained no payment details except acknowledging that I was indeed owed money. Now they are telling me the investors have stated they will not pay on any past invoices, even though they continue to pay the development company for programming on a product that contains some of my work. I started this process 6 weeks ago and they are now fililng with the court. How long does it take to serve someone once the lawsuit has been filed with the court? And will the arguement stand that this client doesn't have to pay on past invoices at an investor's request and they can take their leisure at repayment while continuing to use my work?

She can't drive I'll have to take her to all her appointments. If she has any complications I'll need to stay with her. After she has the baby she'll need help in the beginning.

I don't know whether to put this question under Law and Ethics or TV!!

In Louisiana, if you are unmarried but have children by someone you have been with for a while but unmarried, legally who has custody of the children if you have never been to court or anything?? One of my friends is having this problem b/c her kid's dad is telling her that since the kids are his if he moves out (they live at her parents house and have been together for 5 years and are going their seperate ways now) then he can take the kids and there is nothing that she can do about it, but we are just wondering if legally he is allowed to do so? any answers?

Why is prostitution against the law? If you are over the age of 18, you can have sex for free with a stranger over the age of 18. But you can't get money for it. Does this make sense?

I live in what I feel is one of the most corrupt counties in the country. A former principle in a junior high was tried for 14 counts of child molestation and he served 1 day in jail and got 1 year probation. The judge and county prosecutor refused to answer any questions about the case. Is this justice?

Am I wrong to think that marijuana will not be our lifetime? There are too many God fearing politicians fighting against it,not to forget their flocks. At least a few people that are ill are getting relief, but not nearly enough. I worked 5yrs. doing security for Hemp events. Drinking is worse, it is a killer!
